Can anyone advise if the sign at each entrance to the park regarding dogs should be on a lead is supposed to be adhered to.....???????? Since the beginning of the summer I have been snarled at by off leash dogs x3 times and have felt very threatened. Dog owners have absolutely no respect for other members of the public and assume everyone should adore their pets which are allowed to run free to poop where they like. This afternoon I was yet again made to feel threatened by a bull dog type breed which came running at me. When l advised the owners that the dog should be on a lead I was verbally abused by both people. No apology given for the dog's threatening behaviour. They told me in their verbal assault that the park was free but this is not true as I have to pay yearly rates and a percentage goes towards parks (you can correct me if I'm wrong about this). I am a dog lover however I object to having to feel threatened when walking in an otherwise beautiful park. I have given x1star due to dog owners and their lack of respect for other park...

Unfortunately the drainage is poor and unless you stick to the paths or there's been no rain in weeks (fat chance of that in Belfast though) both you and your pooch are going to be covered in mud!
If the council were to do some work and fix this it would be amazing. Unfortunately, as it is, we have to bath our dig after every walk and in the summer it's nearly impossible to find a patch of grass dry enough to have a picnic!
Finally the people that lock the gates are incredibly inconsistent, often starting their rounds up to an hour before the times on the council website, leaving us locked in/out of the park and having to either walk well out of our way to find another entrance or find another route to...
Read moreIt's a TERRIBLE venue for a concert. It's disorganised chaos. You can't get close to it. You have to walk from the train station lanyon place which is too long for some. The venue itself organisers have made it TOTALLY inaccessible for those with disabilities. At least at CHSQ, there's a VIP option with seating, a private bar, and loos. With a good view of the stage. If you're going to sell alcohol at an event, at least make it 18+ so you don't have 14 to 16 year olds blind drunk, vomiting all over, smoking weed and throwing cups of drink and full opened bottles into the crowd. There was no supervision, and honestly, it ruined the concert. Won't ever be back...
