First Avenue Coffee — Restaurant in Belfast

My Niece and I visited the Stranmillis Road branch today and it was fantastic! The 2 young ladies that welcomed us, were a real credit to the business-so polite,patient and warm. The food on view,behind the counters looked lovely and my panini was really good.My Niece had a smoothie and a brownie-she really enjoyed both.It was great value too.The building is warm,clean and the views from upstairs and down are great for people-watching on the Stranmillis Road.The furniture inside is also wonderful-looks well and is extremely comfortable. Friendly coffee shop close to Ormeau park. Good choice of hot and cold coffee, and iced fruit drinks. Not the best for tea as it's just a teabag in a cup; no teapots unfortunately. They have a selection of buns, scones, cakes and traybakes. They don't have a huge selection of savory food but there are about five types of panninis (mozarella and tomato for vegetarians), at £5 and also pastries. First dine in at this cafe at a longer then usual walk through ormeau park to ormeau road on a beautiful warm day, needed to eat as diabetic so myself and friend decided on a normal sausage roll for her and a pork and chorizo for myself, both were delicious probably best tasting ever from anywhere, great serving tea pots and cups make it totally delicious, couldn't even eat my delicious cake slice that was boxed up for me to take home.
