Nice park for all ages and abilities. Bowling greens, tennis courts, café and lovely views from the secret garden at the top. It's also a good base to walk to the canal and reservoirs just farther on which are well worth exploring in beautiful countryside. Good food at the café in the park. Steep climb to to top of the park.

We frequent Alkincoats Park on a quite regular basis. We visit for our dog and also for the children to visit the playground and explore the nature area above the main grounds.

The parks grounds keepers do a brilliant job of caring for the area. It always looks amazing, is never unkempt or littered and repairs are done quite often

There's plenty for the children and our dog to explore and keep them busy for a good hour or two. There's also a large area perfect for picnics.

Though we don't make use of it, there is a bowls area and a number of tennis courts available. Which appear well cared for.

I believe that the park would benefit however, from a facilities area. Perhaps a café, public restrooms and a seating area at the lower part. In my opinion this would be extremely well received and would garner more visitors and an influx of cash.

On a whole, a great place to visit for a walk, picnic or for the...

walking today with my 4month old puppy like i always do, a woman who looks like a guest on the jk show and her daughter with a large bulldog and a french bulldog, chased my dog from 1 end of the park to the other, dog didn't listen to her i nearly lost my dog and she yelped all the way to the bottom as i ran after her. if you can't control your dog they should be on a lead. people were telling me they are known on the park as irresponsible dog owners with no thought for other people. imagine if i was a 80yr old man i would of lost my dog. so beware. other than that 1 idiot everyone else is very friendly and have there dogs on leads if they can't be trusted and the park is a great place for...

We'd been to Boundary Mill which is 120 mile round trip. We'd usually get a brew in one of the cafes but with coronavirus this wasn't an option. We also always have the dog in the back of the car but there is nowhere to exercise a dog in their car park. So I packed a flask and some cake and was delighted to find this park up a residential street in Colne. It was perfect for the dog to charge around with a ball for 20 minutes and the flask saved me at least a tenner on the cafe and we were able to relax without the need for masks, hand sanitizer and worrying about...
