We visit this park regularly. It's a popular park for sports events and well used by local people and visitors to the town. The two children's playgrounds have been refurbished. There has been a lot of investment in updating the summerhouse/Gardeners Lodge and a cafe has now opened where you can sit on the terrace enjoying the view across the park. There are tennis courts, skate park, a fitness area, basketball court and new toilet block. Today we watched a tree carver carving what looked liked an impressive sunflower out of a tree trunk.

Great place to go for a stroll with the dog or take the kids to play. Playground facilities have been updated and are fabulous. There is now an outdoor gym and they are continuing to re-build the old rugby club house and changing rooms to make this place a definite 5 star facility for the community. I have only given 4 stars because the builders are still working on it.

I walk in Faversham Recreation Ground most days. It's a wonderful local amenity. There is a super takeaway coffee shop, HutHuts, if you want a break and great facilities for all ages including a mini skateboard park, a well equipped children's play area and outdoor exercise facilities. I never visit here without feeling the benefit of the fresh air and the walking !

Great activities available: toddler and older children's play area, modest skatepark, small basketball court / MUGA and benches around the park. Tree-lined park with vast open grassed space where kite-flying is possible. In the southeastern corner of the park an old pavilion has been repurposed in recent years as a cafe with seating outside. Within the park nearby is the tennis club which appears well used. Free car parking is available on busy residential streets adjacent although most rec users seem to walk or cycle there. The park is clean and well maintained and the toddler play area is really well equipped with picnic tables making it easy to leave stuff visible for a moment or sit and...

I've lived in this town all my life. I've gone to the REC since my childhood, I have had great, fun and wholesome experiences here. It's a great place to meet up with your family and friends whilst eating fish and chips from the cafe nearby.

However it lose a star because of the anti social behaviour that goes on in the park, it's more prevalent during dark (Anti Social Behaviour; littering, drug and alcohol use and the selling of drugs.)

In fact I wouldn't feel safe going for a stroll in the night. It's a shame, I hope the council do something about it, it puts people off...

Faversham recreation ground is a great space for the whole family, it now has a coffee booth with outside seating, the toilets have been upgraded and the play areas are always busy with children of all ages, there are football and rugby pitches marked out during the season, tennis and bowls clubs (not sure of the membership requirements) and the park has a wide tarmaced path which goes right the way round which is fantastic for joggers, walkers, cyclists, roller skaters and dog walkers, weather permitting you could take a picnic and...
