THEIVES! WILL DOUBLE CHARGE FOR DRINKS AND NOT REFUND! Payed £40 for 3 drinks, which was suppose to be a £20 round.
When our drinks came out the staff explained "Our system has a fault where it charged people twice for the same drink is that ok. Its done it to lots of people" Assumingly we said "We ordered two dissoranos yes, they are supposed to be the same". Two minutes later she bought another whole round of drinks out, which we questioned and declined. We politely explained we agreed to two drinks the same which we ordered, not two rounds. All 3 of us misunderstood her explanation, because it wasn't clear at all. The staff began to get verbally aggressive shouting at us! She then stormed of swearing.
Her manager was sent out, which we were glad about as we thought she would resolve this like any good manager would. She also then gave us grief, saying her colleague did not swear, 'she wouldn't do this, she wouldn't have said there is a fault in the system and has happened before, it hasn't. This was explained to you, she showed you two receipts' she did not! How can a manager justify this when she was not present? We were all called liars. She clearly doesn't know her rude colleague well enough. We remained calm while we were shouted at for their mistake, until they began to test our patience, a friend cursed under her breath as you can imagine she felt robbed as it come out her bank. We were asked to leave.
I feel they were taking advantage of what they assumed to be drunk people watching the football, instead of a group of friends on a casual social catch up. How many more people have they double charged? How much money are they gaining back after the covid loss? How many more people actually questioned this? Appauling at dealing with complaints. Food service on the other hand is unreliable, on more than a few occasions I’ve planned to eat here for Dinner to get to the site and the kitchen is closed due to staff shortages, on todays occasion the staff were asked what time food is on until, with the GM present I was informed 9pm, to later turn up at 7:40 to be told the kitchen is closed, as the chef has been in the kitchen on his own all day. This is the fourth occasion this has happened in the last 2 months.
In the nicest way that’s not my problem, however had I been told it was closing earlier then I would have planned around it. I understand their are problems within recruitment but maybe you need to consider how to overcome these problems rather than hiding behind them all the time.
Get this boxed off and you’ll have a healthier P&L as people like myself won’t be returning customers due to the unreliability of the food service, I have tight timelines and breaks when in your area and can’t be messing around looking for alternatives so will just plan to go to another business (not a Shepherd Neame managed or...

It was a busy night and we were told it would be 1 hour 30 minutes before being able to order food and somebody would come to our table at 8PM. We hung around until 8 building up an appetite only to find no one came to take our order as stated. Had to order at the bar only to find out they had no wings left. Nobody thought to tell us this even though we had been waiting patiently. I asked if our issues could be compensated by the way of some free fries only to be told they do not give away free food. No attempt made to address my disappointment at the service recieved and then on top of this, one of our orders was presented with onions after specifically asking for none due to an allergy.
