Really didn’t want to have to write this but we said we would if you’s didn’t pay our deposit back…||||I STRONGLY urge people not to book here it’s really overpriced & not relaxing at all. The rooms on the website are beautiful but there’s some clear flaws with some of them as well as flaws with the whole arsey staff & management team. ||||Upon arriving the building looked very run down. (Later came to learn this is actually a sheltered housing complex 😬) A member of staff checked us in & we paid the remaining balance (£100 was paid online when we booked). We were told the card machine was broken so the remaining balance had to be paid via bank transfer or cash (now looking back RED flag). AFTER we paid the staff member told us the room we booked was no longer available as the whirlpool bath was broken from the guests who had checked out right before us so we were given a “free room upgrade”. We weren’t shown around the room but the room was grotty, marks and stains on walls and furniture & the blinds were broken. The room smelt of food & all the windows were open to try mask the smell. We didn’t feel comfortable staying here so tried ringing staff member & texting with our concerns. We were repeatedly told to just accept the room as it’s “worth more than what we paid for” and has a “sauna” but it just felt so unclean! After a frustrating phone call we were told to wait 1 hour and she would speak to her manager to see if they could get the whirlpool bath fixed. The manager came & took us to the room which we originally booked & it was beautiful & we couldn’t fault it. Everything worked fine, I personally think cleaning staff couldn’t be bothered to clean it & they tried to lie and put us in another room at the start. The manager personally showed us to our new room & its features & couldn’t have been more apologetic & offered us some of our money back at the end of our stay on top of our deposit. Unfortunately, we had no sleep due to loud neighbours & I had to knock on their door at 2am asking them to keep the noise down. We decided to come home 1 day early as we felt unsafe in the accommodation & wanted a decent night sleep. Luckily when we checked out we passed the manager & explained our reasoning behind leaving early. Again, she was very apologetic & said she would send us our £100 deposit back with some extra money. She asked us to send her our bank details for the refund. My partner text the manager with the information & heard nothing all day. Once home he rang her asking what was happening with our refund and she was so rude! She said he’d lied to her in our previous texts & we’re no longer getting any extra money refunded & was very unprofessional & argumentative. We’ve still not had the deposit back… All we want is my deposit, we don’t care about this extra money you said you’d pay us. Unfortunately we will have to contact our bank for our deposit back (luckily as stated earlier this was paid direct through the website so if it isn’t paid back to us we’ll get it). Unfortunately I got no photos of the first apartment but managed to get one of the exterior condition of the building. There’s rubbish dumped all over it’s an absolute S hole! Read moreWe stayed at Mansa Apartments hoping for a relaxing experience, but apart from the jacuzzi, everything else was a massive letdown. The place is overpriced for what it offers – it felt more like an old hospital than a vacation apartment. The hallways are cold, sterile, and depressing.
The apartment itself was poorly maintained, cheaply furnished, and far from what the pictures suggested. There’s a clear lack of care and quality in every detail. It felt more like a low-budget hostel than premium accommodation.
As for the town itself – complete disappointment. It felt deserted, with nearly everything closed. There’s barely any atmosphere, almost no white locals, and the place doesn’t feel welcoming at all. If anything, the surroundings give off a tense, occupied vibe rather than one of multicultural integration.
In short: I wouldn’t recommend this apartment, this town, or the general environment to anyone. It’s all flash with no substance. A total waste of time and money. And we didn’t get...
Read morejacuzzi bath was dirty. jacuzzi bath tv wasn’t working, when asked for assistance, the woman stopped replying, did not help at all, completely pointless of us booking as the motive was the jacuzzi and tv. washing machine smelt awful and sink was very dirty did not feel very comfortable at all. lady did not explain that deposits are transferred back within 7 days, she said it would be instant but when asked for deposit, morning staff said that she should’ve explained this to you.
it would be helpful if guests are informed of deposit refunds and how they work so we know what to expect.
would be better if deposits are issued straight away even after a room check.
if staff can be more helpful and not lazy, if we’ve paid for something it should work at least.
