I had the pleasure of dining at Gardenia Restaurant in Bradford, and I must say, the hospitality was exceptional. The chef welcomed us warmly, adding a personal touch to the experience by checking on how we were enjoying our meal, which made us feel right at home.
I started with the hummus, and it was truly the best hummus I’ve had in Bradford – creamy, rich, and perfectly seasoned. Next, we ordered the kebab, which was incredibly tasty and fresh, with a perfect balance of spices. However, the highlight of the meal was the shawarma. It was more than just a dish; it felt like a romantic culinary experience with authentic Syrian flavors and spices that truly elevated the meal.
We also tried the lamb mandi. While it came in a large portion, it didn’t quite meet my expectations in terms of flavor. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t my favorite compared to the rest of the dishes.
Overall, Gardenia offers a great dining experience with a welcoming atmosphere and standout dishes like the hummus and shawarma. I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for authentic...
Read moreHow and why did I not know of this place sooner? If you're looking for hot and spicy food this isn't ideal for you, unless you fancy a change, however if you want spices but no heat then you won't go wrong. I was going to get some chips from Mother Hubbard's but the smells just drew me in and I wasn't disappointed. Absolutely gorgeous food, I ordered half chicken with rice and it was delicious perfectly spiced not hot at all to me, usually when I buy rotisserie chicken it's dry and bland, especially the breast meat, here though, absolutely not. The skin was perfectly crispy too exactly how I love it. The rice was beautiful to look at long fluffy individual grains and again seasoned perfectly, the perfect accompaniment to the chicken. The price is very reasonable. Since the 1st visit Gardenia has become a regular place to eat, the Mandi lamb is delicious and generous portions, the falafel are wonderful. My friend and I get half a chicken and Mandi lamb and share the dishes getting the...
Read moreI wish this small establishment the best but in order for the to succeed i have to give a constructive criticism. FOOD: We ordered the Shawarma box and Lamb kebeb meal with naan. The Shawarma was luke warm and the chips were 'dead and cold' I did not eat them. The Shawarma was burnt in places and chewy and did not taste fresh at all. The Lamb it self was delicious but gosh the bread they gave was really thin and pure flower. Please guys change the bread it was more like a really thin chapatti, tasteless and cold. The Hummus was really salty- i only ate half.
I honestly went with high expectations from the reviews and i wished it lived up to them but from my experience it really fell short.
Please guys take note and I...
