This is a lovely place to go for all the family, if you are a young family there is the play parks. There are 2 different play parks one will fit for the ages 1 to about 6 or 7 with sand play area and slides and a swing. Next to it is a lovely little cafe which serves a lovely coffee and cake. Then there is the older play area fine for up to teenage years. If your just a couple wanting a nice walk there is loads of different paths that take you all around the grounds there is the castle to see but that's not the impressive part. The landscape is breath taking from forest to lakes it would be a dream for a dog walk. The best part is there is a large carpark there and it cost next to nothing for all day parking which is a bargain. I would definitely say that it's worth while going when it's wet you will need welly boots and a decent rain coat. If it's sunny shorts and t-shirt is fine but will need decent shoes to walk with as the ground isn't very flat. If the is hot and your out for long walk I would definitely say water in a bottle would be a good idea. There is lots of areas to sit and eat and have a picnic at lots of grass area to sit on and...
Read moreThis is a great place for kids of all ages to let loose and have some fun. The play area is divided into two sections, one for younger children and one for older children. The younger children's section has a sand pit, swings, a climbing frame, and a slide. The older children's section has a tree house climbing frame, trampoline, tube slides, basket swing, speaking tubes, roundabout, seesaw, high swings, climbing towers, and a zip wire. There are also plenty of benches and picnic tables where parents can relax while their kids play.
The play area is well-maintained and clean, and it's located in a beautiful park setting. There are also plenty of other things to do in the park, such as visiting the castle, exploring the woods, or having a picnic. Overall, Blaise Castle Play Area is a great place for families to spend a...
Read moreAmazing play areas - one for younger (toddler-preschool) and another for older kids. My 3 year old daughter played for five hours and still didn’t want to go home. My 1 year old also enjoyed it, although didn’t get as much out of it. The giant sand pit was a particular favourite for both of them. There are toilets and a cafe alongside. The cafe is very expensive, but you can take your own food and drink and there are plenty of picnic tables plus a huge field to the side. Although it was busy (school hols and a sunny day) we still found places to park in the free car park and didn’t feel like it was hazardous from a Covid risk POV. I had planned to do some time in the play area then have a walk, but they didn’t want to leave the play area so we’ll have to come...
