I took my son to Barclay Park today as he loved it, but the disappointing part that made him really sad and anxious was the fact that the big swing, which is for older children, hasn't been put back yet when all the others have. My son is severely autistic and has severe epilepsy, so that swing is very beneficial for his vestibular system - it works as a very good therapy. Read moreReally lovely place for a walk. Wheelchair and pushchair accessable. Short walk took us around 40mins to.go round the paths which included some nice views, a small lake with ducks and a large field with plenty of seats. We stopped for a picnic and spent in total around 2 hours here which is just enough. Really recommend for a short walk with little ones. Nice free car park although a little small so guess it fills up when busy but we arrived at 10am and there was still spaces. Looks like sports clubs work out here and the local highstreet is only a couple roads away so could "althought I didn't" pop to shops if anything...
