This restaurant has very nice interior with a lovely ambient feel… The parking can be a little awkward unless you know the surrounding area, maybe there’s a few places within walking distance you can park not too far away, I’m not sure. The selection of the different dishes was very good with a nice selection of tasty treats to be had. The drinks list (wine etc) is priced around average with an adequate choice of beverages available. So to the food… I would say most of the dishes (especially the soft shell crab 🦀) were delicious, the prawn dumplings good, the Thai fish cakes nice (a bit on the small side) the Thai green curry with prawns was excellent (maybe 2/3 more prawns for the price!). The calamari was definitely not the best, as was extremely salty and in my opinion over cooked (not soft), tasted like was possibly from frozen and not fresh.
So to conclude… On the whole the meal (apart from the squid) and the experience was extremely good and food tasty and well presented. The girl who served us was friendly and professional and the setting was very relaxing 🙂
The prices generally (in my opinion) are higher than other Thai restaurants (most restaurants in general) within a radius of around 20 miles. The service charge is also a killer (I known it’s discretional) but as you know awkward to go down that road so we all pay. It Wasn’t like the charge was unexpected (maybe ordered too much as everything sounded great!) always leave a fair tip for good service as all dinners should, I do just think (again only in my opinion) a service charge of around £30.00 for a lunch is getting up there?! Hay ho 😐
I would recommend this place for a nice meal for a special occasion but just remember (£) how much you order and don’t get carried away! 🥘 🍱...
Read moreWords almost fail me with the food from this place. We ordered using Just Eat and to be fair the food arrived quickly. What we received was overcooked, tasteless bland and un edible. The Mixed Starters were dried up and very hard to digest, the chicken Sate bearing only a distant memory to its foul origins, in both meanings of the word. In fairness, the main course Panang at least gave us something to eat from the £45 we had spent, it was at least edible and under different circumstances would have been nice. The duck however was absolutely disgusting, dried up and cold and as far as taste is concerned, well my Mrs summed it up when she said it wasn't fit for a dog. I beg to disagree because I think it was fit for a dog and thats who ended up eating it. Never again, I'll stick to the ever reliable Taste of China in the future when I fancy something Oriental. If you order delivery service from this place, be it on your own messed up head and desperation. You have...
Read moreBooked for 7pm and kindly facilitated earlier bit from them on the service went downhill. The staff were generally pleasant but there were significant delays with the food, having asked a number of times. On one occasion being told that we have takeaway, delivery and its new years eve; like that's my problems, mind you they never mentioned that on arrival! So had enough and wished to pay and leave, the lady on the main desk stated had we ruined your night, felt like saying I like to spend an hour and half of my time time waiting for food that doesn't arrive!! Then enquiring what happened, a don't know doesn't cut it and when she said she wouldn't charge me service, told her had no intention and also don't believe they can insist, not quite the US of A yet! So paid and left, if you don't care about service and desperate for thai do go. Otherwise go...
