Spark Bar & Kitchen — Restaurant in Broxbourne

Hi everyone! I’ve been going to this restaurant for years! even on our birthday party’s for all my kids I been going there, today I have very bad experience with one of the staff waitress , we was seven people, we wanted to eat some ice cream and the guy is very rude. I told him politely please bring us the menu because I want to have some ice cream ! and he said just ice cream nothing else!! I said yes for today only ice cream, he gave us a very bad look that he wasn’t happy because I’m ordering only ice cream ! Anyway, he brings us the menu and he throw the menu on very rude way on the table . And then he asked us again so you guys having ice cream and drinks nothing else I said no drinks only ice cream that’s all. then he walks away with a very bad attitude! Then I got very upset and I told him you’re not professional you are very rude and you don’t respect your job. This is not how to treat the customers. I told him I’m a regular customer here. Anyway He doesn’t want to know. He says I’m not serving you and he gone . So after that we left as well , we didn’t want the ice cream anymore as we were very upset. Just thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Spark Bar &Kitchen, and cannot wait to return. Everything about this restaurant is first class, the food, the staff, the restaurant , the decor, the entire ambience of the place oozes comfort ease and a great welcome. The staff are very welcoming, our particular waitress was called Rose, and she was a delight, very knowledgeable, and a lovely lady to chat too. We stumbled across this restaurant by accident, but a “ good accident”, and one that has made our day, we will most definitely recommend this restaurant to all our friends .

Apart from the above, the prices are extremely fair and good value and the food is excellent, we had the lunch time menu for £10 per person, which was amazing, once again we were surprised because neither of us expected the meal to be as excellent or as plentiful as it was. Since Skewe opened, I have been 8 times and I'm going again this Saturday.

The food is excellent, the lamb is juicy and tender, cooked well and not too salty.

Ribs are normally hit & miss at other places but NOT at Skewe. They're so crispy on the outside but soft and moreish inside.

Efes is always cold and delivered quickly!

I feel that the price point is actually perfect here. It's not as expensive as Veyso's in Hertford, it's about on par with Mezzom in Broxbourne for price.

Decorated brilliantly, upstairs is my favourite part.

The service can be slow, the restaurant gets very busy and it's still new so it's understandable that they're still finding legs but you can sit there with your pals, a nice drink and just chat whilst your delicious food is being prepared.
