Bury Market stands as a vibrant testament to what traditional markets can and should be. My recent visit there was nothing short of exceptional, embodying the bustling, community-driven spirit that markets were originally built upon. The traders at Bury Market set a high standard for customer service, often going out of their way to guide visitors to other stalls if they didn't stock what was needed. This level of helpfulness and camaraderie among traders not only enhances the shopping experience but also fosters a sense of community and mutual support that is rare in today's retail landscape.

The market itself was a hive of activity, filled with busy aisles and stalls brimming with goods. The variety of items on offer was impressive, ranging from fresh produce to artisanal crafts, clothing, and everything in between. What struck me most was the balance between quality and value; it's a place where you can find exceptional deals without compromising on the quality of goods. This speaks volumes about the dedication of the traders to providing the best for their customers.

A visit to Allison's cafe within the market was the cherry on top of a delightful day. The homemade meat pie, accompanied by chips, peas, gravy, bread, and butter, followed by a warm cup of coffee, was the epitome of comfort food. It was clear that the food was prepared with care, using quality ingredients that reflected the overall standard of the market.

The sausages and fresh mackerel I purchased were a testament to the market's offering of fresh and flavorful goods. The sausages were delicious, and the mackerels were indeed massive, showcasing the best of what local produce has to be.

However, the vibrancy and success of Bury Market also brought a tinge of sadness, highlighting the decline of local markets that once thrived in similar ways. It served as a poignant reminder of the importance of supporting such community hubs, which offer more than just shopping but a sense of belonging and togetherness.

Bury Market is an exemplar for markets everywhere, demonstrating that with the right mix of trader collaboration, quality goods, and a welcoming atmosphere, markets can still be at the heart of the community. It's a model that other markets could look to for inspiration, aiming to replicate its success and vitality. The experience at Bury Market was not just a shopping trip; it was a journey through the best of what traditional markets have to offer, leaving me with cherished memories and a longing for the revival of...

Bury Market is undeniably one of the finest markets around, and its unwavering commitment to tradition is truly commendable. With a remarkable selection of trader stalls offering everything from fresh produce to unique finds, this market is a treasure trove for shoppers of all kinds. While the indoor market is temporarily closed (fingers crossed for its speedy return!), it has always been a cherished gem within the market, adding an extra layer of charm to the bustling atmosphere.

In my eyes, Bury Market stands tall as one of the country's best and possibly one of the last truly remarkable markets of its kind. It serves as a vital asset to the community, a vibrant hub where locals and visitors alike can revel in its diverse offerings. The talk of regeneration plans may be afoot, but I firmly believe this market should remain as it is—a beacon of heritage and commerce.

Every visit to Bury Market is a testament to its enduring vibrancy, an integral part of the town's identity. It's heartening to witness the thriving retail scene here, a stark contrast to the struggles faced by some other satellite towns of Manchester. Bury Council, the value of this market cannot be overstated—it is a jewel in the town's crown, deserving of our utmost appreciation.

As a 24-year-old born and bred in Manchester, I hold a deep desire to see Bury Market continue to flourish well into the future. Its vibrant atmosphere and incredible array of goods make it an irreplaceable gem. Bury Council, please take note—this market is not just a place of commerce, but a cherished heritage that deserves preservation.

In an era where authenticity is often lost, Bury Market remains a beacon of tradition and excellence. While other towns like Bolton and Ashton fade, this market stands strong, a testament to its enduring spirit and...

Maybe the greatest market in Greater Manchester. It has more than three hundred large bulk food, fresh meat, fish and other grocery shops. Winner of many Awards including NABMA's Market Attraction of the year in 2009, 2012 and 2015 in greater Manchester. The market is open on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 9am to 5pm. If you visit this place at any other time, you will be disappointed. The market holds special events at different times, including food carnivals, special themes and item exhibitions. It's very enjoyable and highly recommended to spend half a day or a day here, eating, drinking, playing and shopping.
