We visited as a group of 4 on Saturday, late afternoon. The pub was very busy as Bury had a football match on and a lot of supports were there. Despite it being busy we were served quite quickly as they had pleanty of staff on and the staff were polite and friendly. After a round of drinks we managed to get a table so sat down for further drinks. The drinks selection, quality and price are all very good and typical of most Wetherspoons. They often get this right and one of the reasons I always go back to Wetherspoons across the country. Wetherspoons is exceptionally good value for money. Two of the group ordered food. One dish was a pizza and I ordered a vegan beyond burger and chips. The food came within a reasonable time frame. Pizza was reported to be nice but the vegan burger was very disappointing. It was very dark in colour and very dry, it had been over cooked or more likely cooked in a batch and left to sit for a very long period of time in a warmer or warm plate or even reheated. The building itself is beautiful and has some really nice architecture and decor. It even has a down stairs female toilet (I know, you don't see that often in wetherspoons) and large seating areas however the furniture and carpets have probably seen better days. If your out for a drink I would recommend a visit, good pint at a great price.

Like most Wetherspoons it can get very busy at certain times and this converted cinema is on a single level - though there is a raised area up a narrow ramp towards the kitchen area to the back of the building as you enter. As it's one level it does mean there is less seating available. This means that toilets are all on the ground floor though which I think many will appreciate. Again, like other Wetherspoons you can theoretically order at the table however in practice I have found that this seems to fail in certain areas of the building. There are 2 coffee machines (to the left as you enter) but these are a somewhat badly positioned as one tends to block the narrow ramp to the kitchen, some seating and also the disabled toilet which is obviously less than ideal. The building itself retains some of the original features of it's heritage which gives it originality.

Chips were recooked it seems, we only received 8 wings instead of 10 so politely asked if we could have the other 2 seeing as though we paid for 10 as it says only to overhear a member of kitchen staff to someone else saying that we were “moaning” about it and just seemed to overall have a bad attitude towards the situation. We politely asked!! When we asked again after a waitress asked if everything was finished with we told her we’re still waiting on them and she laughed about it and then she went off and didn’t grab them for us! Such a lack of respect for customers and so unprofessional! Overall a terrible experience.

The Weatherspoons Art Picture House is located across the road from Bury bus station. The property looks like it currently been repaired with scaffolding on the outside and inside, but didn’t affect the business. I had a Sunday lunch with a group of friends and it wasn’t too busy and the food arrived quite quick. I had a Five bean chilli burrito and it was hot and tasted good. My only complaint would be the amount of tortilla chips, guacamole, salsa and sour cream supplied.

Just went for a spot of cheap brekky before work, was not disappointed, was tasty, affordable and I got a refillable coffee that was tasty for only a quid. The lady serving me was lovely and is the only reason I've ammended my previous wordless 5 star review from having drinks here etc, she was attentive and helped with the coffee machine, a definite attribute to the company, I forgot to get a name but she was working on the 4th August and had silver/grey hair x
