Stopped here after visiting the castle as the parking for that was very close by. Although it was only the two of us, (my wife and no kids) we really enjoyed ourselves.

There are so many different rare domesticated UK animals that it's definitely worth a visit. Also the fact that you can feed quite a few of them means that you get far more interaction. Nothing gets the animals to come and say hello than a handful of food. Also the animal feed is really cheap so all of the family can enjoy giving it in exchange for a stroke of the head or two.

The farm was set up to help people from cities get into farming by the Salvation Army and still does so today. Plus they now offer help in third world countries as well. Therefore you're not just helping keep rare breeds alive, you're also doing the same thing for people.

When you have finished your tour the are plenty of hand wash stations so you are not worrying about dirty hands.

They do have a restaurant there but as we had already eaten we...

I take my nephews here, it’s a lovely place to go, it’s cheap, however it doesn’t tell you online that they are card only and no cash accepted as it is lucky I had my credit card to use for payment!, also only other downside is they have 0 drinks, not even water which I had forgotten but thought a place like this with a shop would have one, however the rest of it is great for kids and enjoy it, especially feeding the animals, and 3 bags of food for a pound is actually ok! Also they have no toilets just 2 potaloos which is better than nothing. So other than the issue with payment and no way of keeping hydrated I give it 4 stars because other than that it’s a nice place! I will deffo visit again with kids but will remember it’s card only...
