Yemek (hadleigh) — Restaurant in Castle Point

Visited today just after lunch time. Said I would review, so I am. Lovely clean resturant with good service. Was seated straight away with a menu and a friendly face. The food ordered was freshly cooked and arrived exactly as required along with our drinks, at the same time and very quickly. The chicken curry on a jacket potato was mighty delicious and obviously home made with great chunks of chicken breast. My daughter had cheese, tomato and pesto panini cooked to perfection. She also ordered chips and baked beans along side and they didn't but an eyelid in the strange choice. Lastly I was amazed at the cost, thinking it would be in the thirty pounds mark as we had juice and coffees too. It was well under. I have no hesitation in recommending the Cafe Yemek. I was recommended to go here from a shop owner in Hadleigh. I had to move my table and was rewarded with fingers full of stickiness from around the back of the legs ☹️ most of the diners had menus in front of them when I arrived, and looked like they had been waiting a while to order. The table opposite me had finished their meal and their plates were still in front of them for about 25mins before being cleared. There was no butter on my sandwich, the chips I ordered were missed off my order but came quickly enough when I bought it up. The tuna mayo sandwich was ok, but the side salad was minimal. The menus were damp, smelly and sticky ☹️ that was the worse. Service was friendly and helpful but it wasn't enough to make me go back. So my girlfriend and I decided to go and have lunch at yemek like we do every now and again, as we sat down we ordered our drinks, the drinks came then they took our food order, after our order was taken 2 other tables came and sat down and got their food before us, a full 45 mins went by so we gave up and decided we were not going to wait anymore as we had somewhere to be, as it turns out the kitchen never received our order and as we approached the till to just pay for the drinks they tried to charge us for the food and as we told them we never got our food they looked completely confused and no offer to try and make it right for us no offer of compensation for wasting our time completely atrocious customer service will not be returning will find a new place to have our lunch dates very very...
