Nims Thai Kitchen — Restaurant in Castle Point

I've ordered from Nims on multiple occasions, both for pick-up and delivery, and the food has generally been quite good. However, my recent experience left me disappointed. I ordered dishes including sticky rice, but unfortunately, the food was only warm at best, with the pad Thai being the only dish that was properly warm. This was surprising and frustrating, especially considering I had spent £50 on the order and paid a delivery charge.

When I reached out to Nims to express my concerns, I was met with a lack of understanding and unhelpful responses. It was disheartening to encounter this level of customer service, especially when I've had positive experiences in the past. I even mentioned that I might not order again due to this experience, and their response was simply 'okay then.'

Nims offers delicious and authentic food, and I've enjoyed it in the past. However, the inconsistency in food temperature and the disappointing customer service make it a hit-and-miss experience. While the food itself has potential, the delivery and customer service aspects need improvement to ensure a consistently positive experience...

We have been waiting for a good Thai takeaway since our absolute favourite closed a few years ago.

We got the penang curry, Pad Kee Mao and Khao Pad Sapparod.

The penang was out of this world, so so good. Pad kee mao was perfect but the Sapparod was just a little disappointing as it didn’t have any raisins or cashews in and that’s my favourite bit. However, it was still very very tasty!

I’m a little bit chicken phobic and really sensitive to texture. Their chicken was perfect! Nice and fresh.

My daughter has recently moved to Leigh-on-Sea, and while visiting her yesterday we decided to get our lunch from here, based on the good reviews we had seen. We certainly weren’t disappointed! All the food was delicious, beautifully cooked, and we were given very generous portions. It was easy to tell that all the ingredients, including the chicken and meat, were of very high quality.
