Cardiff Ski and Snowboard Centre — Attraction in Castle

Learnt to snowboard here a few years back. The instructor was very helpful however upon returning today to give my brother a taster of snowboarding, Gary was very rude and condescending! He did not allow us on the slope as my brother had not snowboarded before even though I had explained this inside prior and they had no issue. Will not be returning and will definitely not suggest this place to anyone from now on! Not only have you lost my custom but you have also lost the custom of my brother who (if had the chance to experience it) would have booked follow up sessions. Cant wait for the potential upcoming alternative facility nearby!

Very disappointed. If we were in the way of the lessons then fair enough however we were on a completely separate corner of the slope well out of the way of anyone.

Being an outdoor professional, I was a little apprehensive about how my ski lesson would go, but I honestly cannot compliment Dan enough! I’ve worked with hundreds of instructors across various outdoor sports and can truthfully say that his standard of instruction and coaching is up there with some of the most qualified and experienced people I work with and respect. We attended today with 3 children aged between 8-11 years who were all first timers. The main Instructor was very good with the whole snowboard School of 6 but I felt I needed to write a review of the young man in this photo. I do not know his name but he went above and beyond to build confidence / support / encourage my 8 year old son who has autism. It made a huge difference to his experience and mine.
