I have been using Spiceball Country Park for years, but unfortunately, the so called park, has been ruined by morons, who say that they are making the park into a wildlife conservation area, for all to see & enjoy! Sorry, but by constantly chopping down lovely trees & hedges, which Birds, Squirrels & alike all rely upon, then all they are doing, is diminishing the attraction for all the beautiful wildlife that once used to frequent the park! As for the so called "ponds", that have been developed for the attraction of Newts, Dragonfly Larva & such. Well, what a pathetic attempt! This once appreciated park by myself, is now just 3 silly fields & 3 disgusting murky "puddles"! For the nature lover like myself, avoid...

Nice to see bins kept under control so very little litter around.
Toilets would be nice but apparently there are some within walking distance.
The playground and skate park are great and keep kids of all ages active with lots to do and it’s fenced off - did not see any damaged equipment.
All in all a nice place to meet with friends and family for a picnic and be able to keep an eye...
Read moreVery spacious and the picnic tables seem to have been set at a distance that is Covid complaint, despite being put there ages before Covid was a thing. The playground is fun (for the kids) and the added bonus of the skate and scooter park and ramps is a huge bonus too. Lots of open space to play and walk around too.
