Having previously left a negative review due to a particular instance of very bad service I since ended up meeting a friend here and bumped in to the bar manager.

We discussed the issue and amends has been made. It appears this was something of an isolated incident. Reassured by the fact that they reached out to me and having greased the wheels with a few whisky (of which they have a great selection) I have decided to change my review, mainly because they cared enough to try to resolve the matter which is more than can be said for most.

After having been a reasonable regular since this place opened, after my experience tonight I'm starting to wonder if I'll ever go back. Do not trust their advertised opening times, after being 'told' at 11.40 that time had been called 10 minutes ago, (advertised as 12, which it has always been before) even though people who had just walked in got served, apparently having been waiting (I smell BS). One of the best places for a drink in Banbury simply because of the wide range of drinks available here! On draft all beer types were covered including craft American beers usually seen in cans or bottles. When it comes to spirits there is also a wide selection of all kinds.
