A Slice of Heaven: Pizza Calzone Experience

If you've ever wondered what it would be like to take the best parts of pizza and fold them into a perfect, portable package, the pizza calzone will answer that question with a resounding "delicious." A true culinary marvel, the pizza calzone combines the savory comfort of a pizza with the satisfying warmth of a stuffed dough pocket, creating an experience that’s nothing short of extraordinary.

The dough is everything you hope for: golden, fluffy, and slightly crispy on the outside, with a soft and pillowy texture inside. The moment you cut into it, the filling spills out in a tantalizing cascade—gooey melted mozzarella cheese, tangy marinara sauce, and any of your favorite toppings, all sealed in perfect harmony. Whether you opt for a classic combo of pepperoni and mushrooms or a more adventurous mix of sausage and olives, each bite delivers a burst of rich, savory flavors.

What sets this calzone apart is the balance. The crust is thick enough to hold everything together but not so heavy that it overwhelms the delicate, melty interior. The tangy sauce compliments the cheese beautifully, without being too acidic. The toppings are never too much—they’re distributed just right, ensuring that every bite has the perfect blend of ingredients.

Whether you’re enjoying it as a hearty lunch or dinner, the pizza calzone is a satisfying meal that will leave you craving more. It’s comforting, indulgent, and utterly irresistible. Every aspect, from the texture of the dough to the vibrant, fresh ingredients, speaks to the care put into crafting this delicious dish. If you’re looking to elevate your pizza game, the pizza calzone is the...

I used to love it here. On my last visit I can safely say I won’t be going back. Service was poor from the start, it was as if our table didn’t exist waiting 30 minutes before even receiving tap water despite asking multiple times. I was told they could not provide a jug of tap water despite other tables appearing to have received one, the waitress was then getting increasingly more annoyed each time I’d ask for a new glass until eventually just giving up and not giving me any more. When the food finally arrived the sauce was ice cold as if it was just taken out the fridge and they’d forgot to warm it up in the microwave, the bacon in the carbonara was white and chewy. I decided not to complain and was just going to ask for the bill. We waited again for close to 30 minutes with our plates in front of us waiting to be cleared (the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy, far from full) until I had to get up and ask for the table to be cleared so we could have the bill. After more waiting the plates were cleared but with no sign of the bill I had to get up and ask again. Once the bill had finally arrived I then had to wait a further 10 minutes for the card reader. A complete waste of time and money for the quality of food, and extremely slow and...

We went for lunch and after seated we went on and ordered our food. I like to know what I'm eating so asked the waiter what meat was in the lasagne. Clearly he would not understand and kept replying is meat. So I asked him to double check with the chef. While he was in the kitchen, we heard someone shouting "Halal! Halal!", after which he came back and said is halal. That did not answer my question as I didn't needed it to be halal. Buy we decided to carry on ordering.

We got a pizza and a lasagna and drinks. The pizza was mediocre nothing special and the lasagne all it had was sauce no bechamel at all. I grew up in Italy and had good expectations of the restaurant as fresh winner of the best pizza in the UK but was quite disappointed. Just about enough sauce and scarse toppings and too dry and crunchy dough. My partner could not enjoy either of the dish.

Throughout the whole time, we had a feel of rush as the waiter kept coming back to our table and asked couple of times if we were done while still had food on our plates.

Overall, really disappointed with the way we were treated and not satisfied with the food. Really makes me think who awards these restaurants and based on...

Very nice and affordable! Went as a group of 3 for Saturday lunch. We ordered chicken and mushroom calzone, seafood paella and chicken tagliatelle. The food did take a while to come, but it was very obvious that everything was made fresh to order, so we didn't mind the wait. Next time we'll order some bread and olives to keep us going. But the portions are massive! We all tried a bit of each others food, but no one finished theirs so we took leftovers home. The staff are very friendly and polite and attentive. After out meal we asked for the bill and received complimentary sweets! No service charge either, so that's nice too. The menu looks fantastic, it was hard to choose. So we're left with no option but to come back and try more! Highly recommended if you're in the area and want delicious, homemade Italian food.

We had a lovely evening dining here last night. The restaurant was absolutely full, but the service remained fantastic—attentive, friendly, and efficient throughout. The food was delicious from start to finish. We shared the bruschetta to start, followed by a pizza each, and finished with a tiramisu that was beautifully light and fresh. The atmosphere was lively, which added to the buzz, but it did get quite loud at times—especially when the birthday songs came on (several times during the evening!). It’s lovely to see people celebrating, though the music might benefit from being a touch shorter. We did find it on the pricier side, but overall, it was a really enjoyable experience with great service and tasty food.
