A Slice of Heaven: Pizza Calzone Experience
If you've ever wondered what it would be like to take the best parts of pizza and fold them into a perfect, portable package, the pizza calzone will answer that question with a resounding "delicious." A true culinary marvel, the pizza calzone combines the savory comfort of a pizza with the satisfying warmth of a stuffed dough pocket, creating an experience that’s nothing short of extraordinary.
The dough is everything you hope for: golden, fluffy, and slightly crispy on the outside, with a soft and pillowy texture inside. The moment you cut into it, the filling spills out in a tantalizing cascade—gooey melted mozzarella cheese, tangy marinara sauce, and any of your favorite toppings, all sealed in perfect harmony. Whether you opt for a classic combo of pepperoni and mushrooms or a more adventurous mix of sausage and olives, each bite delivers a burst of rich, savory flavors.
What sets this calzone apart is the balance. The crust is thick enough to hold everything together but not so heavy that it overwhelms the delicate, melty interior. The tangy sauce compliments the cheese beautifully, without being too acidic. The toppings are never too much—they’re distributed just right, ensuring that every bite has the perfect blend of ingredients.
Whether you’re enjoying it as a hearty lunch or dinner, the pizza calzone is a satisfying meal that will leave you craving more. It’s comforting, indulgent, and utterly irresistible. Every aspect, from the texture of the dough to the vibrant, fresh ingredients, speaks to the care put into crafting this delicious dish. If you’re looking to elevate your pizza game, the pizza calzone is the...
Read moreI used to love it here. On my last visit I can safely say I won’t be going back. Service was poor from the start, it was as if our table didn’t exist waiting 30 minutes before even receiving tap water despite asking multiple times. I was told they could not provide a jug of tap water despite other tables appearing to have received one, the waitress was then getting increasingly more annoyed each time I’d ask for a new glass until eventually just giving up and not giving me any more. When the food finally arrived the sauce was ice cold as if it was just taken out the fridge and they’d forgot to warm it up in the microwave, the bacon in the carbonara was white and chewy. I decided not to complain and was just going to ask for the bill. We waited again for close to 30 minutes with our plates in front of us waiting to be cleared (the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy, far from full) until I had to get up and ask for the table to be cleared so we could have the bill. After more waiting the plates were cleared but with no sign of the bill I had to get up and ask again. Once the bill had finally arrived I then had to wait a further 10 minutes for the card reader. A complete waste of time and money for the quality of food, and extremely slow and...
Read moreWe went for lunch and after seated we went on and ordered our food. I like to know what I'm eating so asked the waiter what meat was in the lasagne. Clearly he would not understand and kept replying is meat. So I asked him to double check with the chef. While he was in the kitchen, we heard someone shouting "Halal! Halal!", after which he came back and said is halal. That did not answer my question as I didn't needed it to be halal. Buy we decided to carry on ordering.
We got a pizza and a lasagna and drinks. The pizza was mediocre nothing special and the lasagne all it had was sauce no bechamel at all. I grew up in Italy and had good expectations of the restaurant as fresh winner of the best pizza in the UK but was quite disappointed. Just about enough sauce and scarse toppings and too dry and crunchy dough. My partner could not enjoy either of the dish.
Throughout the whole time, we had a feel of rush as the waiter kept coming back to our table and asked couple of times if we were done while still had food on our plates.
Overall, really disappointed with the way we were treated and not satisfied with the food. Really makes me think who awards these restaurants and based on...
