Canal Fields — Attraction in Dacorum

Nice canal-side park with plenty of amenities. The park sits right beside the canal, so plenty of space to walk along the water-side if you fancy. The park also has a children's play area (things to climb and swing on), and a small skate-park. There was also a tennis club and a bowls club, although I suspect these are probably for members only? The bustling high street is nearby with lots of interesting shops and places to eat.....if only my home-town was as attractive and invested in as Berkhamsted!...

A really beautiful place to spend time in nature with your family or friends. The peacefulness of the canal, the birds chirping, children's play area and the golf course nearby are a great way to spend your leisure time. Free parking with about 50 spaces capacity and bridge leading to Waitrose + city center at walking distance (about 10-15minutes). We came for the football. Berkhamsted Town FC. A friendly club with reasonable prices (1 Adult + 4 Concessions was £25). Great atmosphere in the Club House beforehand, sufficient room around the perimeter to stand and watch. Some seating under a covered stand, but get there in plenty of time (say about 30 mins before K.O.) if you want a seat.
