I contacted Niamh at the end of 2022 to get help with regaining fitness after pregnancy and lockdown! I’d run a few marathons before kids and after my first. Being a bit older having a second kid and lockdown led to a loss of strength and lots of aches and pains. I had lost connection to my core, had really bad sciatica (long car journeys were painful) and recurring knee pain. Whenever ran races but I felt broken afterwards.
I worked with Niamh over a year, firstly focusing on fitness for a half marathon and then building up to the London Marathon 2024, which I’ve just completed in my target time and pain free!
The training was specific to my challenges. The sets were tough but achievable and the results were quick.. I regained core strength, the knee pain subsided and a problem bunion even moved itself back in line which was mild blowing! I don’t get any sciatic pain anymore and I’m a week out from the marathon I’m ready to run my next race! That wouldn’t have been possible a year ago.
