Lovely beach, golden sand and bonus of amazing sculptures, Walking Men by Laurence Edwards. Sadly the sculptures are only there till the end of August. We stayed in the Best Western Hotel Hatfield, right on the beach front. Spacious terrace and food and drink excellent and very reasonable. Room good. Worth exploring the area, Kirkley Village with its quirky, artisan shops. Recommend Desmond a one of a kind cafe offering hot, cold drinks and food in a cool, laid back artsy vibe. Read moreSouth beach Lowestoft was absolutely lovely. The sand is soft and golden. The sea is clean. It was close to lots of local amenities. There were lots of benches and bins along the promenade. If you were entering the beach from the top promenade then there are ramps suitable for wheelchairs instead of taking the steps down. There are toilets including disabled.
