Fish & Chips @ The Pier — Restaurant in East Suffolk

A group of 6 of us went in and ordered a warm drink each and a few portions of chips. My friend was waiting for his chips when the rest of us had already received them. After noticing all the staff were sat down for 10 minutes and nobody was in the kitchen area he went over and politely asked for his chips as he assumed they had forgotten them. They replied “ Christ haven’t you gotten everything already” in a rude tone. This left my friend feeling uncomfortable and embarrassed for simply asking for what he paid for. The rest of the time there felt very uncomfortable because of this so we promptly left....

Poor service. Most places in this Covid world are helpful to help you sit down in the right place and talk about any rules.

We were left to find a seat (fine outside of Covid). The server asked what sauces we wanted and then brought some salt and vinegar (no sauces).

The toilets were out of order, I assume that this was due to Covid and the fact the the restaurant couldn't be bothered cleaning them enough.

Food was just about okay (3 stars)... although I'm from Yorkshire, where they serve the best fish and chips.

This is probably one of the most horrendous fish and chip shops (if you can even call it that) I’ve ever been to, the chips where rock hard and not even cooked my poor nan struggled to eat the chips because she hadn’t eaten all day and she chipped her tooth on the rock hard chips which I think is absolutely disgusting and appalling she also ordered a cappuccino which she said tasted of dishwater and actually really upset her stomach

If u would like to get food poisoning It comes free at this fine establishment otherwise I’d steer very very clear...
