The village is quaint, with a few gorgeous little gift shops/tea room/pub. There are a few small car parks (we paid with Ringo), and we had a two minute walk to the beach. Cute village.

The beach is a very long pebble beach, with a top narrow sandy path which leads to the wetlands/nature sanctuary. So take beach shoes unless you're happy walking on the pebbles.

The day we visited (30 August 2024), the sea was warm (I use that description lightly) enough to swim and was very refreshing. A few people were using their own paddle boards but be careful with the current.

There are a number of small beach huts but I'm not sure if they're private or if you can rent them.

There were lots of dogs on the beach, including ours. Lots of families and people coming and going.

There's an ice cream van in the little car park. Toilets available at the car park near the hall.

We enjoyed the afternoon there. Would recommend it if you like pebbly beaches and getting away...

Nice place to visit if your near by, mainly for crabbing with the kids. They sell all you need in the local shop including bait buckets ect if you do not have anything. The main car park is Ringo, was cheap at £1 and hour. The little town has a gift shop, cafe, pub , toilets, places to get a coffee and there was a little beach side ice cream truck and shop too that also sold crabbing bits. We had great fun for a few hours crabbing with our little boys. A lot less busy than Southwold, completely different feel. There is a little boat that you can pay to cross the river , think it was £6. On the Southwold side your find fish shops and chips shops. Funny as not many come here for the beach but mainly for the crabbing. If it's a beach day then I would recommend going to one of the other beaches near by or the 20 mins drive back round...

Very nice beach, we visit every year, excellent views and the best place for crabbing in Suffolk. There are a few shops and a very nice cafe with friendly staff and reasonably priced. The shops are a bit on the expensive side for some items. It's a nice walk from Southwold or Reydon if you have the energy, we walked about 9 miles (Reydon to Walberswick then Walberswick to Southwold, then Southwold to Reydon). There are several benches to rest on the way which we took advantage of! Certainly...

Great beach for dog walking! Dogs can be walked here all year round. Its a stony and sandy beach. There are a couple of payable car parks on site with toilets available. The area is known for crabbing which is popular in the summer and looks great fun! There are a couple of pubs, tea room and gift shop in the village, all within walking distance from the beach. There is also a ferry that takes you across the water to Southwold. We really enjoyed our time here and will be returning!

A lovely beach with fine views out over the North Sea and along the coastline. The beach consists of a combination of sand dune, shingle and sand. Access to it may, therefore, cause difficulty for anyone with mobility issues. The beach was very clean and quiet on a sunny Sunday afternoon in late February. There is plentiful parking close-by. The beach and village are also accessible via a bridge or boat from Southwold. This beach is definitely worth visiting if you are in the area.
