Ordered one coffee and a hot chocolate. We were asked if we had a table number..no we hadn't because we had just walked in! So we said we will have them as a takeaway. Went out in the garden area to wait for our drinks (which for what we ordered seemed to be taking ages to prepare). I poked my head into the cafe and said we are just sitting in the garden area and was then abruptly told we were not allowed to be sitting on the wooden benches as they are closed. If that was the case why wasn't this area cordoned off? So we moved outside the front and sat on a public bench..again waiting even longer for our two drinks. I decided i had better to go back into the cafe as this just seemed to be taking for ever. Eventually a young girl walked straight past me with my drinks and I had to tell her those are most likely the drinks I had ordered! Sat on the public bench and once we had finished our drinks looked around for a bin to put our empty drink cartons into..but could not see a single bin anywhere in sight. Ended up having to walk to the nearby public toilets and found some green bins there to put them in. All in all was not impressed. Too long to wait..being snapped at for sitting in the wrong area and no bins. The drinks seemed expensive too for what we got. Next time we'll try...
Read moreI took my family for brunch. I ordered the avocado, salmon and poached eggs on toast. The cashier read the order back to me which I confirmed. I was given 2 poached eggs on toast. When I said that this wasn't what I ordered, I was begrudgingly given a plate with a tiny amount of salmon and told that I had ordered incorrectly. The customer does not forget what they ordered and it was read back to me to ensure they had understood. Clearly "the customer is always right" does not apply here. £14 for 2 eggs on a piece of toast is horribly expensive for underwhelming, mediocre foos. We also had a salted caramel latte which cost £4.50 but did not taste of anything...
Read moreThe Tea Shed is a cute little tea room/cafe situated within the quaint village of Walberswick. We came here for cream teas one lunchtime and the food and service was good! There is a selection of food and drinks on offer, with indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outside with our dog and the staff were great and kept bringing out small dog treats for us. Its a popular place and had many other people with their dogs too. Pricing was reasonable and public payable parking is walking distance from the beach. If visiting Walberswick I would recommend stopping here for a cup of tea and a...
