Ellesmere Sculpture Trail — Attraction in Ellesmere Urban

Spent the day walking the Sculpture Trail, some of the Sculptures along side the mere took some finding as they had been over grown by the trees and a couple along the canal were no longer there, one was broken. Could have done with some sign posts and information boards. The mere is beautiful with plenty of wild life. All in all a really lovely place to visit, the sculpture trail makes a nice walk too. Well worth the hour trip it took us...

I would normally score this nature trail 5 stars but today for some reason I'm going to be grumpy, l understand that we share the paths with some very curtious cyclists as we should giveaway to each other . We have a new generation of cyclists l use the term loosely because they are battery powered. Nightmare on wheels. Think they own the paths. Still an excellent enjoyable...

Such a lovely place for a walk and take children there's a playground, toilets and a little kiosk that sells coffee, ice cream etc there are plenty of notices which says dogs on leads ! either people can't read or choose to ignore the signs as there were several dogs running about!!
