We only visited as it was raining too hard to be out in at the zoo so took shelter here. This place is filthy!! Took my daughter and friend to the toddler session, played on a few of the toys and then went in the big play area. We then left within minutes! It had clearly not been cleaned in a very long time as there was a big build up of muck, dust, hair and old tissues between the vinyl covered foam pads. I told a member of staff how filthy it was and he said thanks! Have added a photo of some of it, the ball pool balls look like they’ve never been properly cleaned at all. Disappointing really, hopefully it won’t reflect badly on the zoo. As a qualified early years carer it’s disappointing that the owners find it acceptable to keep it open so dirty. I wonder if any of them have had a crawl about and done their due diligence to check the standards? I would like to know if they have.

We go to the zoo alot but today we had extra time to call into the play gym, it cost £10 for 5 kids which is not bad i suppose (its half price when you visit the zoo) i would never pay full price! When we entered there was only one dirty table, the girl behind the desk said she would get it cleaned, she made zero effort to do that. The gym is a good size and it has a football pitch. Lots of adults on the equipment which was unnecessary and my children were getting hit often from other horrid kids. My partner ordered from the cafe and was told they would bring it after half an hour i sent him back apparently they "forgot". It was also really cold! Alright for the kids running around but not so good for the parents having to sit around. Can't say we will be back in, we will stick to the small one in the cafe at the zoo entrance (£1)

Great for kids. 50% saving if you’ve visited the zoo in the last 5 days. Proof required. Onsite cafe serving simple food and drinks. Also vending machine located inside for quick snacks. Only paying for children is great! But playtime is limited to a strict 90minutes and you will be firmly requested to leave when this time is up. Toilets are difficult and have been lowered for little persons which is great but need to be checked / cleaned more often. - as the general overall condition could be cleaner. Party options and event hire available approx 30children max at avg.£10 per head.

While i wasn’t involved i did witness an appalling scene unfold infront of me, it came in two parts. Firstly , i had heard people talk about an adult who had been inside the playhouse and used violence against a child. Upon further investigation i found out the grandmother of a child had kicked a little girl that she had deemed too old to be there, after the mother of the little girl confronted the grandmother the staff did absolutely nothing in support of the crying child or distraught mother and instead shielded the grandmother of some sort. The second part happened when the table next to mine caught the grandmothers family pointing their phone camera at her and ridiculing her. The family of the girl who was being recorded immediately took action and started to question the grandmother and her family but once again the staff ignored the pleads of the photographed girl and her family , they instead called higher management and he sat with the mother who had photographer the girl and was offering her drinks and engaging in conversation. Not once during this conversation we’re the family or the girl who was photographed taken into consideration and not once did the man who was conversing think to check for any signs of photography. Because of the staffs ridiculous way of handling things the girls family got involved by trying to get both a complaint sheet and proof they hadn’t photographed the person. I overheard one of the staff members saying “it was below her pay grade” and then once the mother got angry she blatantly laughed in her face, got security and kicked the whole family out without doing a single thing about the grandmother who earlier hurt a child or the mother who had photographed the girl in the wheelchair without her consent. This behaviour disgusted me and i left immediately after, the poor girl wasn’t safe inside the playhouse and the other girl wasn’t safe outside as she was ridiculed and neither had justice....

This place doesn’t deserve any star review I came in today with a group of us and across from us an old lady has assaulted a kid in the play area and staff did nothing about it except kick the kid and the parents out!

Then the old lady’s daughter was taking photos of my niece and when got pulled about she got up in my sisters face and caused a scene, staff did nothing yet again!! We asked for a complaints form we filled it in and then me and my family got kicked out but yet the old lady and her family got to stay! The staff members even took a brew over to them and sat with them!!

They caused two incidents and was still allowed to stay! The staff was very rude as well I have an autistic child and the staff was giving my son horrible looks there was a ginger big girl there watching my son like a hawk and the other girl had dark hair glasses and a black top who also was very rude to myself and family!!

Would not recommend going the staff are awful don’t care about the kids safety in there and apparently it’s above their pay grade to do anything about it !! Absolute vile place to go to.

Oh and lastly we left the premises and we witnessed the staff come outside and throw away the complaints form and nothing will be done about it!

They obviously support the nature of Rolf Harris people the place either needs ripping down or get staff that actually care for kids not people just wanting a pay check at the end of the month sick and twisted staff

Do not go to this place and waste...

Visited here several times as we are local, the play area is good with plenty of things to do. Arrived this morning at 9:30am when it opened and there was no balls for the football area or for the basketball hoops (I could understand if it was later in the day but they’re opening up without these), this was disappointing as my boy loves the football area. Also on several occasions I have had issues with being served at the food kiosk, today the staff didn’t acknowledge and continue with cleaning or whatever they’re doing, didn’t even make eye contact or tell me they’d be with me in a minute, literally just walked back and fourth like I was invisible, one man appeared from the back to tell me my child couldn’t be resting on the counter, but still didn’t serve me he then walked away again, after standing there for a while I gave up and didn’t get any drinks. Don’t think I will be visiting here again as it’s not...
