Mains were really nice had the gourmet burger was very tasty, my wife had the chicken pene which looked really nice she just wish they hadnt have put peas in because they did nothing for the dish, my daughter had the kids wrap which would have been enough for an adult she really enjoyed it, desert is where it went downhill they forgot to bring it out for about 40 mins until I went and asked them about it my wifes triple chocolate cheesecake was delicious but the frozen hot chocolate was not what was on the menu it said it was chocolate and vanilla ice cream with cream marshmallows and chocolate sauce there was no chocolate ice cream instead it was chocolate brownie pieces that had nuts in I dont like nuts so was extremely disappointed with this, this needs to be clearly stated on the menu its dangerous to serve dishes with nuts...

Stayed here last Sat night with my Partner and son. Was dissapointed. Staff were great, but the room was tatty ( faux leather chair in room peeling, plaster coming away in places, bulb out in bathroom, then there was Breakfast. Plates were filthy, went through the pile looking for a clean one until I had to ask a member of staff to get me one. Waited about 5 mins for it. Food was Okay. Restaurant is Expensive. £26 for a sirloin steak £33 for a filet. I was expecting to see Gordon himself through the kitchen door. Stayed here about 6 years ago and loved it but was a different experience this time and would probably avoid next time. £159 for one night with Breakfast was not worth it. Went today, Big mistake 4 of us dined here today, we ordered x4 starters and x4 main meals. Firstly our starters came out and 2 dishes were missing we waited for 10 minutes and had to go and ask for them. Our mains were horrendous my husband ordered the chilli cheese stack which came out, again we waited for the 3 Sunday dinners which were stone cold, called the manager over, who offered to either replace them or give us our money back, we decided to give the meal another try, the picture says it all beef was black the rest was cold the broccoli and carrots were a no show. It wasn’t busy so how it ended like this ? The table behind us with young children had to go and ask where there food was too. Will never go...
