This park is a thing of beauty and has had many improvements over the years whether that be the new wooden paths created, Walters walkway, or the vegetation that has been cut back which makes access for the local earl of Harringtons fishing club alot easier. The cricket pavilion is still going strong and hosts a number of matches throughout the year as well as a couple of unique running events. If I'm not mistaken I've seen a few hairy helmets at this place! The cafe is just delightful and today I visited and had a bacon and sausage cob........my god talk about a bin lid or what, it was mahooosive and very yummy indeed. I totally recommend this place and it was packed all tables taken outside in the seating area. Just don't forget your cash pal, as cash will always be king and this caff knows it cash only son! Enjoyed an hours circular walk with the muts and wife and they love a quick dip in the...

Darley Park is an absolute gem for dog owners! My tiny girl had an absolute blast paddling in the river. It's shallow and gentle enough for them to safely splash around. The park is also filled with mature trees, offering plenty of shade on warmer days, and my dog was endlessly entertained by the many squirrels darting about. It's really convenient having toilets on site and the cafe is a lovely bonus for grabbing a drink. The river itself is truly beautiful, adding to the park's overall charm. However, be warned, this park is incredibly popular, and for good reason! It gets very busy, especially on weekends and sunny afternoons. Finding a parking spot can be a real challenge, so arriving early is definitely recommended. Despite the crowds and parking situation, the joy my dog gets from the river and the lovely surroundings (and the handy facilities!) make Darley Park a lovely spot to visit....

This park is beautiful, surrounded by trees and lovely lush green grass. There is ample of outdoor space to allow people to roam free in the peace of their own and others company. The green land is extremely well maintained, as well as the path that allows you to complete a circular walk. There are many areas that provide shade so that you can enjoy a picnic in peace.

There are lots of dogs at this park, which isn't bad if you don't mind them, but if you do it may not be the place for you!

The park cafe is quaint and old fashioned which is what a park cafe should be like. The prices are also quite reasonable. The public toilets appear to be well maintained but could be better.

The children's play area is nice and well maintained also.

My only recommendation would be to increase the number of available bins, maybe ones for recyclable waste. And to empty the existing dog mess bins...

Great park with wide open spaces that are perfect for walking and very dog-friendly too. There’s always something going on, from cricket and football to a rock climbing facility we spotted during our visit. There are some lovely pubs nearby and a café right at the park entrance. Just a heads-up the café is cash-only, which is a bit unusual these days. The only downside was the parking. We arrived early and were lucky to get a spot in the small free car park off Darley Park Road, right near the entrance. I can imagine parking would be much more difficult later in the day. There may be other options nearby but we didn’t explore further. All in all, it’s a fantastic spot to spend a few hours outdoors. Definitely worth a visit!

Situated in the heart of Derby City, Darley Park is a big recreational park, divided b the River Derwent. On the East Side are the football pitches and the recreational tennis basketball courts. On the West Side, is the rowing club and the Darley Park Tearoom and the largest collection of Hydrangeas in the Nation. You can also find Darley, a Michelin Star restaurant. There are plenty of things to do in the park and is a perfect place to spend time with your family and friends and you can often find many friendly dog walkers and runners. I would definitely recommend everyone visit this place.
