Rollersnakes — Attraction in Great Britain

I don’t really know how i stumbled upon this random British skate shop considering I’m an American living in one of the biggest cities where skate culture thrives but I’m glad I did.

I was up last night searching and looking for a helmet, this specific helmet was out of stock on their website. I find Rollersnakes online with this item on their website in my size! An XL! All the other sites had small or medium.

I noticed on the rollersnakes site that the helmet was $59. On the official helmets website the product was $69.95 a tremendous difference. With shipping being at $16 (which was expected considering they’re shipping out the country) it totaled to $75.00 exact. On the official helmet’s website their shipping was $13.29 and they’re an American company. The total cost of the helmet on their site was $83.24.

I purchased this helmet exactly at 11:49 PM before I went to sleep. I wake up and see a shipping notification at 1:29 AM (my time) that my helmet has been shipped. Not even more than 2 hours later and my helmet was already shipped off. The store doesn’t open until 10:00am (their time) but they still shipped off my helmet at 8:29 AM (their time). I’m impressed with the quickness this company has. I don’t know who shipped off my helmet exactly, but thank you for doing so especially during non working hours.

Never again – poor product quality, disrespectful customer service, and complete silence when there’s a problem

I ordered a pair of DC Manteca 4 Hi WR High Tops from Rollersnakes in January 2025. These are supposed to be durable skate-style shoes. In reality: after just four months of occasional, very light use, the heels were completely worn through to the midsole.

No skating, no daily wear – just short errands like grocery runs and appointments. That kind of damage is completely unacceptable for this type of shoe.

I contacted customer service, included clear photos, and explained everything. Their reply? “Normal wear and tear” and a “goodwill gesture” of 10%. I politely pushed back, referencing the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which clearly states that any fault within six months is assumed to have existed from the start – unless the seller can prove otherwise.

And then? Nothing. Total silence. No reply. No update. No follow-up. Just straight-up ignoring the issue.

After some research, I discovered that I’m far from the only one. There are multiple online reports of Rollersnakes using this exact tactic: blame the customer, stall, and then disappear.

I’ve now filed official complaints with Trading Standards and the Consumer Ombudsman.

If you want to be treated with respect and expect your rights to be honoured – avoid this retailer...

July 10th 2023 Mad Love going out to the girl who looked after me today unfortunately didn't get her name she was petite with long curly hair she was extremely polite, helpful and patient with me while getting a new wardrobe top to bottom cap to trainers 😊 I've been using rollersnakes for all my skateboarding needs clothes, decks, trucks etc must be 30 year's now im 46 now so don't skate as much nowdays due to arthritis and knee issues but still go every few years for my clothing for me mainly, Heathen,volcom,creature ,element but they stock all your favourite brand's and extremely reasonable prices and always have good sales on.for me there isn't a store i know anywhere in Derbyshire that offers the service these guy's do from Skateboarding, Snowboarding, Scooters and skates all your favourite brand's of clothing and accessories are available and if you cant find what you want will most likely order in for you if humanly possible I cant recommend this place enough the staff are always extremely friendly and helpful the vibe is always very chill and welcoming for all ages and have a skate park in the carpark and often put on events for the locals and kid's what's not to love? if you love Skating get yourself down to Rollersnakes...
