The Dj absolute pants!! Unless your 15 you wont know any of the music, the occasional older song i assume by request! He needs to relise its not ibiza! But a wooden shack in derby!
The cafe haha well the part of the hall that ressembles a greasy spoon! Paid £1 for a can of coke expected, food all over the floor and tables and no where to sit as the teens instigating love triangles are sat on the tables and chairs, and u can only drink your drink in the cafe area so an awkard stand in the corner while i have a drink situation!
Theres a bar called the eastenders i dont even need to explain this one its all in the name!
4.Staff. my nephew cannot skate well so he kept falling over i was always a meter or so behind to catch him, but the members of staff on the ring seem to be more bothered about chatting to the female skaters and i assume checking his online dating profile as he never put his phone down, cafe staff meh maccies down the road! To get your skates or trainers back your looking at a 15 -20 min wait depending on how well the desk staffs day has gone!
Quiet a small place there are kids skating around where the seating areas are its a little like a zoo. seems like a place that people dump there kids to go play bingo! And not care how they dress!! And then theres the spolit kids on there that fly around with there own skates because they beg to be there every weekend so they can show off!
Im going to go again but only because my nephew likes it and its a 5vr! You get your moneys worth!! but i would recommend tetnus shot before you go and a good pair of headphones. And...
Read moreLong review~ Horrible we didn't enjoy it at all, thought it would be fun after a day out shopping in Derby as we had never been there before so thought we'd try it out. When we got there it was packed way too full there was not enough room and they have ridiculous security at the doors they were patting down everyone for food and drinks which made us feel uncomfortable, awkward and singled out as we had been shopping and had some food and drink in our shopping bags which got confiscated until the end. they didn't give out clear instructions, they were saying there were separate queues for boys and girls which was a bit odd. the cafe was small and we couldn't even sit down and eat, as kids were sitting around the tables not even eating and also half of the seating was closed off. You can't even slightly stand outside the cafe area with a drink as security guy tells you to go back in when you can't even move in the cafe, especially on skates. Some of the staff were miserable and ignorant and I kinda felt a bit unwelcome. They also played games which involved everyone who wasn't playing getting off the rink so we were standing around for 15 mins per game waiting for them to finish because I was not going to play tag and dodgeball in skates. thought it was going to be a nice skate but obviously not we was not made aware of the games prior to going. Oh and none of the toilet cubicles closed properly and wouldn't lock.. I felt as though I was treat like a child and will not be returning and certainly not...
