This place is awesome. They have an amazing collection of games consoles and computers. For me it was a total nostalgia fix and for my five year old daughter, it was an amazing insight into how her favourite video characters used to look and to get to play games with those characters as they were prior to what she currently only knows of them on her Nintendo Switch. Seeing her discover these new games she really enjoyed playing that I used to spend ages playing as a kid and experiencing those same feelings of excitement (and in some cases, frustration!) I had when I first discovered these games is awesome. We both had a brilliant time playing games together and she really loved making music on the Atarti ST. She was also in hysterics trying to convince the priates to hand over the bucket in Monkey Island 2, which really made my day as that was one of my favourite games growing up too. When we left she asked when we can come back, so thats pretty much says it all. A huge thanks to the awesome people behind making this a reality. I'd recommend this...
Read moreTook a visit to this place recently. Honestly I’d never known it was here but wish I’d found it sooner. I took my five year old for a look around expecting it to be a look and reminisce for me and an insight to him for what people used to have but it was much more than that. There are computer and consoles of every kind. Some of them have one game but others have multiple options. We took our time to have a look at what was there then select our games. The place was quite busy but no where near as busy as it deserves to be. It is somewhere that we both want to revisit due to the vast selection of games that are available to play. There’s even a lounge area with computing magazines that you can go to chill out in. The place has volunteers with different experiences of the computers on hand to answer questions, talk over their history with the computers and get you back on track if needed. We still have so much to see so will definitely be taking them up on the...
Read moreHave been wanting to take my boys and husband out somewhere fun for ages and this seemed a great choice, and wow, was I right! They spent hours playing different games, enjoying trips down memory lane and all agreed afterwards that it was a lot of fun. The volunteer hosts are lovely and very helpful, and everything is interactive, even the game boys and a couple of 80s keyboards. A few smaller bits like tamagotchi are on display but all the major consuls are up, even a Sega with a large screen TV and a sofa. The various themed rooms are very neat, the various PCs, gaming consoles etc are well kept, loo is nice and clean, everything is just really nice. I'm not sure about access as there are stairs and tight corners to navigate, with other stairs to various levels but the rooms themselves are spacious with plenty of seating. Very well priced with no urging to leave. Highly...
