I'm afraid that St. Cuthbert's Walk is suffering from the same ailment as most intown shopping places and not all of the shopping units are occupied. However the parking is free, though time limited, as there is quite a large Morrisons store attached to it. You also have access to the front street shopping area which, sad to say, once boasted some nice shops and a thriving market. Still worth a visit but don't expect too much more than the usual budget buy premises and betting shops. A couple of pleasant cafés and tearooms can be found without wandering...

Read moreNot sure you could really class this as a shopping centre as it's so small, more a walkway to Morrison's. It does co rain an entrance to Boots, an Iceland and an independent butcher but little else.
Edit On reflection, I think I was little harsh on this. Passed through at lunchtime today (Saturday) and it's bigger than I recall and has a number of independent retailers doing business. And the butcher shop is mouth...
