This is where we go for a Saturday treat in Chester le Street - for an all day breakfast with inclusive hot drinks. Gently fried egg as desired, pork sausages, bacon, beans/tomato and toast with a side of mushrooms - I don't usually have a dessert but Michelle's home made bramley apple pie with fresh pouring cream is a real treat. Karen and Michelle are always friendly and welcoming. The food is homemade, including the cakes on selection. Prices are very reasonable! A cheese and tomato toastie, with salad and crisps on the side is just over £3. And a big slice of cake is £1.95.
You can purchase small trinkets near the till, such as handmade ornaments or alcohol free ginger wine. It's a house converted into a tearoom, so there's only about 20 seats quite close together. However, it's often busy with a warm atmosphere. A local business definitely...
