I spent many hours playing on here during my formative years. It evokes memories of that time and holds a special place in my life.
It provides a wonderful walk and fantastic views over Folkestone and across the English Channel to France. At its Western point, the foreground view is dominated by the Channel tunnel terminal. And whilst this view shatters my childhood memories, watching the shuttles snaking in and out of the tunnel portal is quite interesting. More so if you had a train set as a boy (or girl)!
You will come across the occasional walker, maybe with their dog or camera, but it is generally a place of solitude perched high above the frenzied activity witnessed below.
