Barmby Fields - Dog Walking Field — Attraction in Great Britain

Can highly recommend this field! So very grateful to have this little gem of a field so close to home. Our pooch loves his walks but as he was a ‘lockdown’ puppy, it was trickier than usual to train recall, polite meet and greets with other dogs or humans (as we had done successfully in the past with our previous dogs) as we had to distance. My pooch has loads of energy but loves nothing more than a good charge around so having this safe, enclosed space where I can hurl his toys around and work on recall without fear of him going into the road or running off is a godsend. I had my 4th visit to the field today and the progress I’ve made with some help from Abby at A&B is amazing. An hour is perfect to get through loads of training exercises and actually gives me lovely bonding time with my buddy. Great that there’s a picnic table there so when we go as a family there’s somewhere to sit too and peace of mind that my youngest is also contained 🤣. We are going to do more exploration of the agility style equipment next visit. Booking online was so easy and you get a code emailed an hour before your session to unlock the gate. Spike had a great time and it always makes me happy to see him being able to run free. He's a Jack Russell and was assessed several years ago by an an animal behaviourist as being reactive.

It all went very smoothly and really helped to know that the other field would not be used while we were there. However the fence in between the two fields are screened so it might have been ok if other dogs had been there.

This dog field has two fields with secure airlocks for your cars and pets for each field, and extra parking just outside. The fields are well maintained and have some shelter for humans. They’re pretty flat fields too. Poo bins are outside the fields. Water bowls are provided but you often need to bring your own water. The owners are responsive and very friendly.
