Waitress serving in the hole shop cafe didn't seem the least interested in customers and impolitely addressed me with "are you paying " Her communication over my order showed a lack of training and the young man who was serving was worse. Communication again very poor and none of them showed much interest. I told them I was going to the outside area and there lies a story, poorly signed, one door barred and the only entrance blocked by tables and the threshold really an obstacle in itself. The service was poor and the young man really hadn't a clue and more or less mucked up the food delivery, sticking my knife into the bare dirty wooden surface then asking if I even ndeed a knife, no napkins blah blah. A beautiful environment almost perfect 5 star setting but poorly trained staff completely ruined the experience. No friendly smiling service nor polite and professional interaction. Just love this place, which holds very special memories while growing up, I used to go with my mum and then go with my children, and it was so very sad to see it run down and neglected. I went yesterday, and I was so happy to see it returning to its former glory!
The conservatory returned to its beautiful self, with some amazing ladies keeping it in tip-top condition!
Places like this MUST be supported by any means possible, poo in and buy a plant or some amazing honey 🍯 made by the amazing 🐝 🐝 and help support a great cause and this will help to keep memories going for years to come.
Added bonus of a beautiful golf ⛳️ course,cafe, toilets, and amazing walks.

A lot of the paths lead to dead ends and some of the paths were very short. One of the golfers got annoyed I was on the course and blamed me for losing their ball because I walked by and they couldn't see it anymore. I tried my best to stay out the way and walked on the outer edges as possible, but I got lost. There isn't a lot of signs about, apart from at the beginning. I don't think the public should be allowed to just roam the course either due to health and safety concerns. Definitely don't want to go here again. The only good thing is the play park, but that's only if you have kids....
