Belleisle Conservatory — Attraction in Great Britain

The conservatory is located in Belleisle Park. It is a beautiful listed building dating back to 1879. Although the present conservatory has been refurbished and rebuilt a few times since then. There is a statue situated inside which is believed to be even older than the conservatory itself. It is all now maintained by dedicated staff and volunteers. Lovely little glass house on the grounds of Belleisle Estate. Really good cactus display! Lots of interesting plants. Signs of small plants being propagated and a few for sale. I would have said 5 stars but there are a lot of plants in plastic pots which look bought in, chrysanthemums etc., maybe just to fill the gaps. Otherwise very nice and we'll worth a visit. Free entry! There is also a fine walked garden and paths for a wander...

Returning to Ayrshire after many years , am so impressed with the work the volunteers have done in the conservatory , I remember the African statue when I was a child , lovely to hear the story of how she survived all these years . Plants and flowers just stunning , lovely...
