Visited Alloway many times over the years and didn’t realise this place was here. Stopped by to see the John Byrne exhibition and will definitely be back. Loads of open green space, the gallery is free to enter and the John Byrne pieces on show were amazing.

Nice building with a good selection of spaces with some interesting exhibits. Lovely grounds with easy parking and a good cafe. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.

The maclurin art gallery is a weird one. I think I'm more obsessed with the garden they have around the gallery than the gallery itself. The residential art they have, the ones based on burns' poems are in my opinion horrendous. There's very little there in the first place. They have the odd good exhibition but that's rare. The 3 stars are...

What an expected quality gallery and cafe. Loved the guadie exhibition (I recommend people watch the video by his son first, brings it even more to life) 50 years of Glasgow print studio and the PAI exhibition. It was quite a hike from train station but we easily...
