Hedsor House — Attraction in Great Britain

We got married at Hedsor House in November 2022 and booked the Darcey package. All the suppliers that are a part of this package were outstanding! It was an absolute dream come true wedding day. Hedsor House is a stunning venue and having the whole house to ourselves for our wedding was so special. The whole team at Hedsor are wedding experts and offered us endless support, advice and help from the moment we booked our date.

Our wedding day was just so amazing and we can't thank everyone at Hedsor enough for how hard they worked to give us the most perfect day. From the day we booked Hedsor up until the morning after, every single Hedsor member of staff was amazing and made our dream day a reality with their expertise, endless support, advice, instant answers to my many, many questions and then running our wedding day SO perfectly.

During the planning, everyone at Hedsor made me feel like I was the only bride getting married there and nothing ever seemed like it was too much to ask. We are so very grateful for Anne, who was our dedicated wedding specialist, she was so wonderful throughout the planning process and made wedding planning stress free and enjoyable, she was so helpful, was always there when we needed her and offered us endless support.

Katie was also fantastic during the 4 week lead up to our big day. She guided us through the last part of our wedding planning and we were in such great hands with her finalising everything, that it meant we had a calm and enjoyable lead up to the day. Katie was also with us on the wedding morning to help everything run to schedule and to ensure everything was perfect for us before our ceremony, we are so greatful for her help which made our wedding morning stress free.

The night before our wedding I stayed on the grounds of Hedsor in their lodge ‘The Hive’. It was so special to spend my final night as a miss here with my parents and bridesmaids. Waking up in the grounds and starting hair & makeup in The Hive was such a wonderful start to the wedding day. I highly recommend staying here the night before your wedding.

On our wedding day we are so Thankful to have had Georgie as our day manager, she is not only fantastic at her job but so friendly and kind which is just the type of person you need on the day. She was so welcoming, helpful, ensured everything we had planned was happening and in the right places and made sure everything ran to schedule. We were in such good hands with Georgie running the day and that helped us stay calm.

Just before I walked down the aisle I had Katie and Georgie with me, I was feeling so overwhelmed and emotional but they were so lovely and calming in the final moments before I walked in to the ceremony and I really felt like they had my back and were looking after me, I will always be grateful for this.

Our evening manager Sian and the night manager Paul were also both wonderful. The bedrooms at Hedsor are stunning and it was so special to have our nearest and dearest spend the night there. We all had a delicious cooked breakfast in the Library the day after our wedding, which was the perfect start to married life.

There really is no other wedding venue like Hedsor, they are the best in the business and we feel so blessed that we got to get married here, not just because of its sheer beauty, but because of all of all the amazing team who made our dream wedding...

Where do we even begin? Based on advice I received from other brides, they all underscored how important it was to have a wedding venue that had a high throughput of weddings/events and staff that were communicative as both meant you would be likelier to be working with seasoned pros. We had this baseline in Hedsor, but we also had so much more. From the day we first met the team on an open-house day, we had a good feeling about the people and their level of attention to detail as well as communication. Throughout the planning process, Anne reminded us of key timelines, ensured we were on track, and answered all emails in a timely manner. When we went for our pre-wedding venue walkthrough, Nellie took the time to sit down with us and thoroughly answer our remaining questions in-person. And when Trish (our day-of coordinator) and the duty managers (Georgie and Victor) took over on the day-of, they paid attention to all of the details and sorted out any issues in a way that allowed my husband and I to fully enjoy our wedding day, including Georgie helping the boys tie their bow ties! But it wasn’t just us, the Hedsor team also really looked after all of our guests - we had several guests comment on the level of service throughout our stay: one of the breakfast staff provided one of our (hungover) overnight guests with some buttered toast for the road. The devil is really in the details, and for this team, no detail is overlooked, and that made all the difference in planning and executing our wedding. The best part is that all of the Hedsor staff were so kind to us and a delight with which to work. We truly had the best day, in part, because of their positive energy!

Now, onto the venue itself - it is obviously beautiful and the photos will speak to this, but I did want to highlight how helpful it was to have a purpose-built venue that is dedicated to weddings. The layout of the main house meant that for drinks reception, we could have an indoor-outdoor setup so that guests could choose what made them feel more comfortable. For the evening party, the dance floor and bar area as well as other seating areas were separate which again allowed guests to have a quieter conversation in another room without having to shout, while still having easy access to the dance floor. It was also nice to be able to put up our dearest friends and family for the night and see them at breakfast the next day. In addition, We opted to stay at ‘The Hive’ the night before, and that made our logistics go smoothly. The Hive is well-equipped: we were able to cook and share an intimate dinner with our family there in the generously spaced kitchen.

There are not enough stars to cover what we would give this most beautiful place. Hedsor House and estate is, without question, one of the most beautiful places we have ever known. Perfection resides in every polished surface, in every sweeping view, in every quiet corner where history and romance linger. But beyond its splendour, Hedsor offers something priceless, it welcomes you into its romantic story. Here, you do not simply host an event; you become part of a centuries-old love story that you want to read over and over again. The estate radiates a beauty so exquisite that we knew, without hesitation, that no other venue could possibly hold our special day. Hedsor exceeded every expectation we had. And so, though “thank you” feels achingly insufficient, it is offered with the deepest sincerity and a lifetime’s worth of gratitude. Hedsor have given us a gift that will echo through the years, a perfect day, in a perfect place, surrounded by perfect people. Anne wasnothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we stepped into the library to secure Hedsor as ours, she infused every step of our journey with a blend of wisdom, elegance, and heartfelt care. Her guidance has grace and professionalism, yet always wrapped in warmth. She didn’t just help us plan a wedding, she made it a joy, and a treasure we will carry forever. Aida, her spirit is pure magic. From the first smile to the final embrace, she made every single person, us, our families, our friends, feel like they were the most special people. Aida looked after me with such tenderness during my emotional moments, her hugs becoming anchors of comfort when she snuck me into the venue to avoid being seen by any of our guests. Tim was looked after by her from the second he arrived in the morning and she ran around doing so much; she is a superwoman! We were both looked after and sorting everything out before we would even need to ask. She was always several steps ahead.

And then there is the wider Hedsor family; the night manager, the porter in the basement, every member of your team. Each interaction was a masterclass in hospitality, professional, yet imbued with a warmth that made us feel looked after.

My husband adored his stay at The Hive the night before and it was home away from home, with every he needed before our big day.
