This is a lovely walk/hike. Easy to stay here for hours and explore every avenue. In 2 hours I covered a lot of ground, including the high walks up to the waterfalls. I do recommend wearing rugged footwear as some of the terrain requires boots if it's been raining. It was a sunny dry day so the footwear of choice was flat shoes. On reflection, walking boots would have been the preferred choice. I'm an experienced hiker with excellent balance and even I nearly came unstuck. Fair warning to the young inexperienced walkers out there. This is great to walk your four legged friends although the steep steps may tire you out. Overall this is somewhere I plan to hike again in the near future. Happy hiking to any of you thinking of going. A really nice pleasant place to be with lots of tranquility all around, for even your children will...

Beautiful area, very enjoyable walk here. Lots of different pathways. We opted to walk from The Pillars of Hercules Cafe Car Park on up the Glen to the waterfall. We came back down on the upper route and rejoined the path. Lovely, varied scenery throughout this walk. From deep woodland, a charming stream, farmland and surrounding hills. The walk is steady and can easily be adjusted and shortened for little legs for instance. Well worth walking on to the waterfall which you can stand under!

When we walked it was very, very muddy. Good shoes either way grip/ones you don’t mind to get dirty are a must. Definitely would have found it more enjoyable after a spell of dry weather as the mud was very deep and slippy at time of walking.

We seen deer, woodpeckers and lots of birds. Nice sounds walking by the...

Parked at the Maspie Den car park in Falkland and followed the route out and back. Lovely walk, muddy in places so sturdy shoes or boots are recommended and be mindful of the steep edges if children are in your group. There are a few waterfalls on the way. The top one has a path behind the falls but unfortunately this is currently roped off due to a landslide. But it's still worth the walk and some of the lower falls are easily accessible to splash around in or just admire from the path. There is a really nice cafe in the old stable block just after the car park to refuel after your walk. You can sit inside or outside in their covered garden. Good selection of lunchtime food and snacks. Gluten free bread available. The ice cream...

Very pretty area with many trails that intertwine and go up along the river. You can take a different path down, so the whole trip can be done as a loop. There is a fair bit of rubbish on the ground sadly. Saw a few bins around tho, so people are lazy! There are many bridges and stone tunnels which make it a fun place. There is a charity cafe next to the carpark which has toilets for customers. Nice little menu. Nice that you can bring your dog to walk on a leash with you. The carpark is free too. :) Close to the town too.

What a lovely, peaceful and a bit magical place to have a walk around. I was there a little later on in the day and there was no one in site. Did have to rush my walk a little as I said I would be back to cook. With my friend only living ten minutes away I made the most of it before heading over to Helensburgh today. I recommend going and taking a bit more time as it's all up hill on the way back to the car and isn't really nice when your in a rush. Even got to see a couple of dear on the way around.
