⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Lomond Tearoom and Chocolate Shop – Falkland 🍫☕ A cozy gem right in the heart of beautiful Falkland! 🏡✨ After a walk through the village and a visit to the palace, this tearoom was the perfect stop for our family. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 🍰 Cakes and chocolates were out of this world – rich, homemade, and full of flavour. The kids were in heaven with the chocolate slices and truffles, and we couldn’t resist taking a few extras home from the shop! 🍫 ☕ The coffee and tea were excellent, served with care and a smile. Everything is presented beautifully, with that warm, personal touch. 🪑 The tearoom has a cozy, vintage feel, with lovely decor and friendly staff who made us feel right at home. It’s small, so if you're coming with a bigger group, try not to hit peak lunch hour – but it’s absolutely worth the wait. One of our favourite little spots in Fife – full of charm, sweetness, and great memories. 💛 #LomondTearoom #Falkland #FamilyTreat #HomemadeChocolate #TearoomTreasure

Ordered a cake from here for my partners birthday which was absolutely delicious, she also ordered my birthday cake from here. Great communication and was exactly what we had invisiged both times. Have also had take away slices of cake from here all delicious, not yet tried dining in yet but is on the to do list.

Too expensive for the kind of food that you get. You pay almost the same as for example at Patisserie Valerie, but the food and atmosphere just don't compare. And if you have to go to the toilet, it's horrible. I would prefer to walk a bit and use the public toilets near the Back Wynd car park.

Racist service, woefully mediocre food. Are you sitting comfortably? For here is my story!

I went here with a friend before a long walk around the beautiful surrounding countryside. I asked if there were any tables available, they checked and said yes but they will soon fill up with reserved guests- and so we'd have to sit at the bar if we wanted to eat there.

So far, fair enough. But after sitting down, my friend pointed out that the pub's interior decorations were all of an extremely nationalistic, 'in ye olde dayes the Scots beate the evil English scumme!' manner. There was a tacky painting of William Wallace- in addition to various photos of other historical Scottish figures and famous battles. "Ah!" I thought, "How interesting, I hope this doesn't affect the service because of my slightly posh English accent". How wrong I was!

Firstly, I asked what came with the Haddock, as on the menu all that listed was the name of said fish. I was met with the rudest and curt response possible- apparently I should have already known it comes with chips and salad. The waitresses contempt for me was palpable and I honestly wondered if it was safe for me to stay in a pub where they obviously spend most of the time excoriating the English.

Then, five Spanish tourists came in and politely asked if they could sit at a table. The waitress looked at their reserved list, came back to them and brusquely said "No we don't have any tables available" and stormed off. There was no apology, no guidance for other pubs available, no indication if there might be tables available later. The poor Spanish tourists looked taken aback and left.

This is where things get interesting! In the following 30 minutes, three groups of Scottish people arrived and themselves asked if tables were available. This is when the true, racist colours of this establishment were on show- and right in front of me because this all occurred right in front of my own astonished eyes.

Each group of the Lomond's favoured cliental (i.e. native Scots) were met with outpourings of obsequious service. A Scottish family were helpfully shown to a table where the Spanish tourists could easily have been accommodated in. A Scottish couple were directed to a small table which was reserved in an hours time- but "As long as you're quick you can sit there!" - remember that I, a non-Scot, was told that no tables were available for two people just 10 minutes prior.

As a final note, although I do occasionally dabble in trolling on other social media platforms- on Google maps I try and be as honest and as useful as possible. So for me to accuse this establishment of literally being racist is quite a big deal. But from what I experienced and saw with my own eyes that is my conclusion; they favour native-Scots over foreign tourists and of course, 'The English'. This is absolutely outrageous and I am still quite stunned that this happened.

Oh yeah- and the food was really mediocre- although my...

Just been to the lomond tavern booked well in advance and was very excited to take my family for Sunday Lunch. There stake pie is to die for. lasagne is very satisfying and macaroni cheese need I say more. BUT not today I'm sorry to say. There was no stake pie to be told it won't be ready for an hour ran out of lasagne before we were able to order and no macaroni cheese. I would understand if we were the last booking of the day but my table was booked for 1 o'clock. Not to worry there's plenty more to order which we did. Starters 2 prawn cocktails with about a teaspoon of sauce we had to make Marie sauce to mix through the prawns 1 soup not homemade (yes opend a tin and heated it up) 4 mushroom and onion rings (not to bad) 2 sliced chicken and gravy with chips and veg (chips not bad veg not to bad) but had to eat them quick before they went cold I really don't want to tell you about the chicken tasteless is not the word. 2 scampi and chips and was meant to come with salad came with veg if I wanted veg would of ordered veg. 2 fajitas 1chicken 1 veg both tasteless and warm. And finally 1 fish and chips the fish was bought in with breadcrumbs not the normal fresh fish where the chef would dress the fish him self fish was hot enough chips were not. The condiment box came with an empty bottle of salad cream the salt seller was empty as well the salt was very quick to be taken off another table for us still waiting on the salad cream. We were asked if we enjoyed our meal erm (NO) So asked to speak to the chef the manager came instead to find her very stand offish and not very helpful. Our bill came to just under £100 which is very cheap as a family we alway leave a large tip but sorry not today...

This is only getting 1 star because you cant give it zero....or i would have The service was slow cant understand why they only have 1 member of staff working the bar who also has to take food orders, serve customers drinks, serve food and clean tables ( the table next to us still had the last persons dirty plates on . I lost count how many times i heard them say “i will be with you shortly i am the only one working !

When an elderly couple came in for a drink and sat at the table they were told to move because it was booked , we were in for over an hour and no one sat at that table !

Starters we had ( mushroom and onion ) was over cooked .and dry My son had mozerella cheese over cooked

The main supposedly chicken haggis with drambuie sauce was disgusting the chicken was again over cooked had dry hard edges , the haggis was tastless and the drambuie sauce was to me more of a white /cheese sauce tasted zero drambuie , the mash potatoes tasted like aunt bessie frozen ones .

My son had the sweet chilli chicken with boiled rice and chips when it arrived it did look good unfortunately the chicken bits were again dry (even with the chilli sauce ) the chips were dry .

We have been here a few times it used to be a good place for a good meal but not any longer we certainly wont be back After our meal we were asked by the bar tender if everything was ok when we said no she replied ho no what a shame ...that was it no apologies no reasons given as to the poor service just ho no...
