Riverside Park, Huntingdon — Attraction in Huntingdonshire

We use this place regularly to launch our kayaks or just for a walk along the river. The river is absolutely gorgeous when you're on it with so much wildlife, and the walk along it is very pleasant.The car park is free on Sundays which is great, but it would be helpful if the barriers weren't so low as sometimes we can't get in with the boats on the van which makes life difficult. It's also a shame that there are no toilets here. There used to be a cafe with public toilets but it closed years ago and has never reopened. I really don't understand why so many councils refuse to provide basic toilet facilities at their sites while still charging for parking. It makes life unnecessary stressful when you can't find a loo and would put me off visiting under normal circumstances. This place would be perfect if it just had toilet facilities so you could relax and enjoy yourself for as long...

Good family green area in St. Neots. Car parking facilities available. 5 minute walk into town centre. Riverside cafe serves food all year round. Riverside playground area very good for kids. Duck pond has plenty of ducks, geese and swans if kids want to feed the ducks. New addition is light steam railway which kids love to sit on and go round the small train track circuit. Excellent park with good parking at exceptionally cheap rates. The park has two play areas; the first one is right next to the car park that caters for younger children and the second play area is good for ages 5 and over. There is a river that runs alongside the park that used by boat enthusiasts, mini golf and a miniature rail. The park itself is big enough to walk dogs, have picnics or take a stroll....
