We use this place regularly to launch our kayaks or just for a walk along the river. The river is absolutely gorgeous when you're on it with so much wildlife, and the walk along it is very pleasant.The car park is free on Sundays which is great, but it would be helpful if the barriers weren't so low as sometimes we can't get in with the boats on the van which makes life difficult. It's also a shame that there are no toilets here. There used to be a cafe with public toilets but it closed years ago and has never reopened. I really don't understand why so many councils refuse to provide basic toilet facilities at their sites while still charging for parking. It makes life unnecessary stressful when you can't find a loo and would put me off visiting under normal circumstances.
