I don't post reviews but I went here a week back now when it was fairly empty during the day. I didn't catch his name but a tall skinny white dude with blonde hair served me and he was fantastic. I had thoughts coming into the place, but they were all washed away with the service and food, absolutely excellent. Initially I called it a glorified weatherspoons but the standards are so much greater, seems this olmo lounge is opening up new businesses across England too, so a new company. The food, I actually have not tasted anything like it, the chips were a nice pre-salted rustic yellow tinted flavour, the burger tasted like genuine dead cow and was massive, prices where pretty cheap, the bun was a sweet taste. Ordered a free Monday brownie (or a pint) and it wasn't too heavy or thick, cold or hot, just right. Service was quick too, place is massive. Maybe a bit understaffed but it was very quiet. Met the lady manager, she was in her 20s(?) Seemed very understanding and a good chat, I'm there to eat but if the workers are getting treated correctly it makes the food and atmosphere so much more enjoyable and I'm a very nihilistic depressive person. The only thing I could suggest is slower paced music instead of pop, seems like a relaxed jazz place to me but I understand jazz isn't for everyone. Also wanted to add, they were very serious about allergies and gluten free options, one of the first sentences to us upon entering was if we had any allergies which my mother does have a gluten allergy and they took it very seriously, she also managed to eat all of her food (massive burger n chips n brownie) which is a first. Please give the tall blonde skinny white guy a raise. (1 person lounge burger no extras with fries, coke & a free Monday brownie...

I recently visited this place for lunch with my partner and her mother. We were seated immediately as it was a quiet time.

I started with a Double Chocolate Oreo 'Milkshake,' which was quite disappointing. What I received was a glass of chocolate milk, akin to a Yazoo, topped with whipped cream and Oreo crumbs. It was far from a true milkshake and certainly not worth £4.75. After expressing my dissatisfaction, we were given a replacement drink free of charge, even though it was £1 more expensive. Which is good, but this should not be advertised as a milkshake in the first place.

We opted for the three-plate deal from the tapas menu. Unfortunately, the portion sizes were underwhelmingly small. I ordered the spicy beef quesadilla, lamb kofta, and beef brisket chilli. Regrettably, none of these dishes were served hot, or even warm. The sauce with the lamb kofta and the cheese on the chilli had developed a skin, indicating they had been left out for a while. The cheese on both the chilli and quesadilla had melted and re-solidified. Despite these issues, the lamb kofta and brisket chilli tasted delicious, but the lack of quality control was evident. I chose not to complain further as I was hungry and had already returned one item.

While I understand that tapas are small plates, I've been to other similarly priced tapas restaurants where the portion sizes were significantly larger. Tapas is meant for sharing, but these three plates barely made up a meal for one person.

Regrettably, I won't be returning to this establishment. The lack of sufficient quality control in the kitchen is apparent, and these dishes should never have been served in their state.

For those seeking tapas, I recommend...

Wednesday, the 5th of August I Visited the lounge with my family it was my family first time there and we wasn’t impressed, the service was good until the food came out as the chicken in our burgers was burnt so informed the staff member which they went and got the manager to come over and speak to us, we told her the issue she became very rude and aggressive saying that that’s how it should be and did not Acknowledge our complaints or opinion which made us feel unwelcome and not valued as customers, she said we was in wrong she really needs to learn some customer service skills how can you have a manager like this running the place it has completely put off my family going there.

I was a regular customer I will not be going there, I would avoid going out there if she’s working When told the burger was burnt she argued to say that’s how it should it was charged black in places and saying that’s how it should taste and look Not my first time there I know this has had a chicken burger before should not look that I’m when I bring the issue up with her she just got rude and did not want to resolve Issue We ended up getting Refunds in the end left with empty stomach after a 45 to 50 minute wait for our food it was completely understandable about wait as it was busy but for service we received by manager for it was like being talked dirt on floor won’t be...

We popped in for a bite to eat and drink on a Monday evening. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, with an array of lighting and candles, the decor is interesting, it gives more of a cosmopolitan feel, which is quite different to other venues in the town... And quite welcome. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, our drinks were refreshing and well presented also. The service from the staff was lovely, everyone we encountered were friendly, welcoming and professional. We were pleasantly surprised by an offer that was on (buy any main meal or burger and get dessert or selected drink for free) . Its safe to say that we will most definitely be returning :)

Pleasingly good food and a nice selection of drinks. Prices are at the top end of mid range, which jars a little with the bustling high street ambience, but you do mostly get what you pay for. The lighting, even at midday, is a little dim (or atmospheric, depending on your want) but it's bright enough to see what's going on - the photos boost the brightness considerably. The staff were excellent, with good product knowledge and a friendly and efficient demeanour. The only issue really was the noise; the acoustics of the building means noise seems amplified, with the general hubbub of the lounge turning surprisingly, and distractingly, loud.
