Excellent play area for kids, in the picturesque setting of a lake and woodlands. The Play area is about 1/3 around the lake (going counter-clockwise-wise) there is a coffee van on the way there and another at the play area. It’s very popular so parking can be tricky, but people are always coming and going it’s possible to get a space by waiting a few minutes. Toilets are at the play area, and some seating and tables, but a good idea to bring a picnic blanket and sit on one of the several grassy areas.

A great playpark catering needs of younger as well as older kids. Quite a bit of walk from the carpark but well worth the effort.

What a great place. The people of Hillsborough are so lucky to have this in the town. My son took me and my grandson here. The Play Park is fantastic and nicely laid out for children up to the age of 14. The toilets are in the play area so you don't have to rush anywhere looking for them. There are picnic tables and seating all around. The varied art pieces scattered around the forest are well worth looking out for and feeding the enormous flock of geese, swans and ducks is a must, but NO BREAD thank you. The signage is very informative. Hours just fly by strolling around here and it's all free. Will...

An excellent location with lovely walks, very interesting history and a very good play park.

It missed 5 stars only because of the amount of dog dirt left lying about. If those visitors allowing their dogs to poop had a little respect for the facility they use it would be so much better gor us all. Sadly a dog patrol person needs to be employed to fine the few dog owners with a mistaken sense of entitlement and filthy...
