I've been coming to this park my entire life. It used to be a great wee park to walk the dog but overtime it's become far too crowded for most of the day ever since they extended the carpark. If you like to walk with your dog off the lead, you really need to come in really early or very late, any other time of the day there's far too many people and dogs.
They've also recently built these statues that look ugly and cheap; some of them are already starting to fall apart. They're just a complete waste of money.
I only go to this park now becomes it's a 5 minute drive for me, otherwise if I have time I just go...
Read moreVisited 01/01/2024. Good amount of parking and at time of visit two staff members sending cars to spaces available. We took the easy walk around the lake and into the forest, this allowed us to see the sculptures all set around the forest area. There was also a mini rope bridge which our three year old granddaughter loved crossing. The giant bunny and fox sculptures as well as the others were a hit also. Read moreLovely spot for a walk. Easy walk round the lake mostly a flat path. Lots of benches scattered along the path and lovely little jetties for resting. Suitable for all abilities. And prams and wheelchairs. There are longer walks around the wall of the forest with mixed terrain that wouldn’t suit everyone.
