It was quiet when we visited mid-week, there were a couple of school trips but still plenty of space. Disappointed with the number of animals, very few. Lovely cafe with seating indoors and out. Little playground close to Meanwood beck. It's nice to hear the water, occasionally, while in that area. Plants grown on site are available to buy and it's great to see that there's an area where bicycles are refurbished and sold on. They certainly are worth a look of in the market for a bike! It's dog friendly and bowls of water are left out for them in the cafe area. What does really infuriate me is when dog owners take their pets out with them to places such as this, where dogs are allowed, and then don't clean up after the dog!!💩🤬😤 Please dog owners (I am one myself) don't spoil this lovely place in the city. I think there's ongoing plans for the whole site since lockdown has been lifted. We'll certainly...

Lived in Leeds most of my life and have never been to Meanwood park until this Easter with my little ones. We love a nature walk and this one was great for them. There are a number or waterfalls/bodies of water. And a strong trail that went on for a while. We didn't get to explore it all but will certainly return to do this. We picked a good day to go weather wise. The ice cream van is ridiculously priced, but there is a lovely little café by the car park we will try next time. Lots of dog walking, children and a mixture of friendly people, ages, races which is always good. A couple of teens I had to speak to about how they speak to our younger children, but apart from that, a...

Its a bit hard to be critical of this park as it has almost everything that you could need in a park. There is plenty of space for playing games and throwing sticks. There is a decent adventure playground with the obligatory ice cream van. You can walk from here all the way up to Golden acre or further if you want to, and the walk is decently interesting. You can also walk back almost to the city centre if you choose to. There is also the beck with a variety of ponds crossings and stepping stone.

Its easy to find and there is ample parking and plenty of access points. Finally there is a decent enough cafe, or further eating options 5 minutes walk away...

Always worth a visit. If not only for coffee and cakes at Three Cottages Cafe, which is going from strength to strength, but for the woodland walks along Meanwood Valley trail or up into The Hollies. Many little loop walks or plenty of benches to sit and take it all in with an ice-cream. There is limited car parking at the end of Green Road opposite the school or you can park at The Hollies, The Myrtle Tavern or even in Meanwood centre and easily walk to the park. Plenty of open space for ball games and there is a children's play area, basketball court, bowling green and public toilets.
