I really like the look of Terminus and they"ve done a great job of their outdoor space. But too many gripes also.

Read moreThis place has the potential to be the best bar in Meanwood, the interior is the usual mix of vintage, modern but done with a particularly nice eye. It would be nice if there was clear glass in the upstairs windows (hopefully this is on the 'to do' list) but as I visited in the evening this wasn't really an issue. Unfortunatley the beer I had was not very good. I chose the IPA, but it had none of the characteristics I would expect and did not taste great, and although it was drinkable, I didn't finish it!! I didn't try anything else so I can't comment but they do have a vast range of beers to try so I'm sure next time I will find something I like.

Oxford English Dictionary defines Village as "a group of houses and associated buildings, larger than a hamlet and smaller than a town, situated in a rural area." But find yourself at Terminus and you'll ponder whether what makes the village really is the buildings, or actually, the rag-tag group of individuals who, despite all the odds, find love and community in the harsh world of 21st-century Britain.
