Booked in advance but lane not available on arrival so spent 10 minutes pumping cash into the limited number of arcade machines that give you 30 seconds play in return for enough tokens to get 1/4 of a 2p sweet 🤣 Once allowed upstairs we had a fairly enjoyable hour of bowling but the "pins on strings" system is a little frustrating as you often knock them down but it's not registered for some reason. Service at the bar slow (which is probably why the lane bookings get delayed from people not starting immediately) and fizzy drinks flat but prices aren't too ridiculous. Environment is very noisy with the sounds of the games, players, arcade machines, music etc so if any of you are overly sound sensitive this isn't the place to go. It's not terrible, it's not amazing, as the 3* review indicates "it's OK".

Very disappointing, hasn't changed. Went for an hour playing duck pins which was good but the staff are killing this place. Arrived at 19.50 they advertise costa coffee great but the taff decided to turn the machine off early! This place is supposed to be open until 10pm but at 8.30pm my party were being asked if they wanted any drinks because the bar was closing! At 9pm we were just finishing our game when a member of staff came upstairs jangling keys. On our way out we found all the staff by the exit door with coats on ready! This sort of behaviour is why we stopped coming when it was Putstars. If you want to close at 9pm then put 9pm on your doors and website. I won't be back!

My wife went with my children and her nephews on Saturday and my youngest won enough tokens for the airpods that were one of the prizes. When my wife asked for them, they said they were broken and shouldn't have been on display and wouldn't give them the prize which I found disgusting. When my wife said to them they shouldn't be on display if they weren't available, they shouldn't be there as a prize, yet they didn't bother to take them down even after she said. I just found it to be appalling behaviour, especially this time of year. If you don't want your children disappointed if they win a load of tokens, which young children do love if they win, then definitely avoid!

The hard part was booking a game, since I tried to book using my Samsung Tablet. The reminder that my time on the site was almost up, actually blocked me from inputting the information needed to complete the booking, so beware. Once booked, the rest was easy. We are 2 pensioners who booked for mid-day on Saturday as we had an hour or so to spare. We are not golfers, indeed I am a WHEELCHAIR USER, but I can stand in order to play crazy golf. We were the two oldest people in the place by far but were greeted warmly, had the layout explained as there are two courses on offer, and sent off to explore for ourselves. The wheelchair lift to go upstairs was working and spotless - no smeary glass from sticky children, and so we chose the upstairs course to play this time round. What a laugh we had. Some of the holes almost guarantee a hole in one and some are so tricky that it takes 6 shots for the unskilled to get the ball anywhere near the hole. Being slow, we let others play through if the need arose, but we had good fun. The courses are well maintained, unlike many we have played outdoors over the years. They are brightly painted and no 'tatty bits' to let them down. You can tell they are well-used, but well looked after too. The course upstairs is noisier than downstairs due to the bowling lanes, so if you have noise-sensitive children, this won't be for you. One member of staff from the bar area saw I was hobbling and wobbling (my normal gait) and came over to check we were OK and ask if there was anything we needed or that he could do to help, and ended up joining in our laughter. We both earned badges for Hole in One, and had a brilliant hour or so playing mini golf. It is inevitable that we will visit Leeds again soon to visit our rapidly diminishing family, and we have decided to build in a visit to Puttstars every trip, if at all possible. That hour or so of fun and laughter is important to adults, as we forget to include some 'play' and 'fun' in our lives after we grow up. Give yourself permission to take time out and do something silly. It is NOT just for the young people, it is for people of all ages and abilities, and the staff are excellent and encouraging. Book a slot today and reclaim your right to laugh at yourself and friends. Play this mini-golf as though no one was watching.....We will be...

Shame this place was let down by a few things…firstly, the golf itself was fun and quite good value with the pre-booked deal of 2 courses, and 2 drinks each for £15pp. We were a group of 4. When we arrived, we waited a good few minutes before anyone came to serve us. Eventually, we got our ticket for the golf and drinks, so made our way to the bar. Service again was really slow, taking what felt like forever to serve our 4 drinks. Was recommended the 2 courses upstairs to be the best ones so we made our way up to start the games. The change in temperature was very noticeable, and by the end of the second game we were all absolutely boiling. About half way through, we asked a member of staff if the air-con could be turned on, as we were all feeling pretty uncomfortable by this point, but we’re told they have no control over it, it is turned on and off by an external company. Very strange. The temperature was really not nice and other customers were saying the same. When we finished the games, we came back downstairs for our second drink. This took twice as long as the first time due to beer barrel running out, then the wine. Decided to play a few games of pool to kill some time, before we had a meal booked in a restaurant close by. On our 3rd game, after paying the £1.50 (not cheap), one of the coloured balls got stuck and didn’t come down. We asked one of the members of staff, who said a little abruptly ‘someone will come in a minute’. We waited around 10 minutes, still no-one came so had to go up the bar to ask. Finally someone came to open up the table and retrieve the stuck ball. We asked if there was any way we could maybe get a free game for the inconvenience of having to wait so long for someone to come and help us, and the slow service in general. We were just told absolutely not. Asked if we could perhaps ask the manager, he said he was the manager on that day, and they are short staffed. I don’t believe they looked short staffed for the amount of people that were there. Overall, golf was good but could do with sorting out the temperature...

We visited for my grandsons 11th birthday ( 8 of us ) and it was ok but could have been much better .... After checking in we thought get some drinks before we have our first round of 2 golf circuits so we went to the bar and waited whilst a young guy shuffled around looking busy but not making eye contact after a few minutes he walked off into the kitchen and didn't return ... another young guy did come behind the bar and said he shouldn't be there and radioed someone... after a few more minutes another young guy and a lady who looked to be in charge arrived ... all 3 chatted briefly before she and one guy walked off leaving the remaining one to take our order ( somewhat reluctantly) any how we got our drinks then off to play our first round on the ground level course. Unfortunately the electronic scoring system was broken so it was pen & paper ( no problem ) we played and then we went upstairs for our second round. Granddaughter couldn't go up in her pushchair via the lift as it was broken. So we played our second round and then perused the food menu which was quite basic but that's fine as you'd expect everything to be spot on as the kitchen didn't have 50 different dishes to contend with , so 3 pizzas , 2 chicken tenders , 2 hot dogs ordered. We were all hungry and awaited the food.... whilst waiting our grandsons asked if they could have an icecream ( it was really warm upstairs) good idea ... but the icecream machine was broken ... then after 10 minutes a staff member came over and said the chicken wasn't available...ok we will switch to pizzas .. oh and by the way we've also run out of pizzas ... can you believe it ? It is 3pm and only hot dogs available, so we said fine can we have a refund ? Of course buf then due to some computer issues this took around 30 minutes. The golf was great fun but the rest of it was a joke. The manager gave us some vouchers for the golf if we return ... sadly I don't think we will buv...
